First move in the offseason

Extend Neil.

Sign Fournier.

Trade for a defensive bulldog - Marcus Smart or sign Dellavedova.

Jeremy Lin ought to be on the radar as well.
That's a lot of guards for an already guard heavy team.

Refs.

And I'm serious.

Without the crooked refs Blazers win that infamous series in six. Without the same crooked officiating they win game seven, despite the infamous cold shooting spell, that itself was aided by the refs jack boots on our necks.

It was the times man. Sad times for true sports fans.
Same with how SAC didn't win a championship.

I think Plumlee is a power forward and they need to utilize him like a draymond green because he can be used that way. We need to look for a legit center in the off season whether it's whiteside or whoever.
Plumlee is just not that type of score at will kind of player though. He's not going to bully his way in.

Fez is actually Kahn!

It makes so much sense...

Dirk said he wants to keep playing, but not in Dallas if they rebuild.

The Mavs need to blow it up. That team has no chance. It's so fatally put together.

Would you guys take Dirk as a rental? One or two years? Can you imagine Dirk back in Terry Stotts' offense?

I don't see Dirk interested in going to another team; he can be a lifer with one organization, an MVP and have a title. In the modern NBA since the merger you can count those on one hand. Kobe, Duncan, Robinson, Bird, and Magic.

I expect instead Dallas signs Dwight; just makes to much sense for all involved.

If Dirk was available I really don't see any way to have a good defensive unit with him and DameCJ. It's been so valuable having Aminu/Harkless on the best opponents offensive players. Doesn't seem fair to relegate Dirk to a 6th man. We're still a few years from peaking. I'd rather grab a couple young defensive athletes with upside and hope they exceed expectations.

The Blazers need that 1-2 punch and I'm not talking about that 1-2 punch from the guards. They need that 1-2 inside outside punch. That's what the Blazers lack and need if they want to win a championship.

Damn.....I thought it was to sign the S2 forum as the first virtual assistant coach.

It's obvious the players listen to us. Aminu was awesome in game 4 after the thrashing he took in here. Let's talk about that Lillard guy and how much he sucks. He'd better bring it to L.A.

I just think we need help at the backup PG.

Marcus Smart would cost a ton.

Delly will likely get a deal at or near $10m/per. Lin will get a similar deal.

When you factor in CJ and Plumlee's future deals - both could get the max, CJ for sure - maybe look at the draft for an impact point guard. My top choice would be Tyler Ulis. Probably the best at pushing the ball and making quick decisions in the draft. He could rise but his size will anchor his stock a bit -- 5'8" w/o shoes. A lock to go in the first. Kay Felder could be had in the mid/late second.

Stotts won't play him unless he is a star. Our backup backup PG right now is fine. Better than fine even. Not a position we will spend big money or pick on.

I don't think Hendo's coming back. NY or somebody will offer him a indecent salary. So we need to replace him. I thinking Pat the Dimebag Man can be is eventually replacement. But he needs to improve his shooting.

Then make a play for somebody who can score in the low post and third scoring option (probably a small forward.)

Neil and Terry both get at least three year extentions. And they both have the same agent so "how convvvvvvient!"

That's first.

I don't see a need at all for a PG; Dame and CJ run it fine. It's basically the one position we have absolutely no use for. Every other position has questions.

The second unit could use more offensive creators but I'd rather have that be a wing or forward who has length to defend.

Fuck that, re-sign The HCP. His contract is up as well!

Why were you so late with the replays last game? There were 3 or 4 times MB or Rice would ask to see the replay and there would be nothing. At one point Rice started drawing stick figures on a piece of paper to hold up to the camera.

HCP did such a bad job I even noticed it on TNT as well.

Two guys that I think Neil might pursue who no one has really talked about: Pau Gasol and Jared Sullinger

A 36 year old who can't play defense and a fat ass who refuses to get in shape? Pass

Dirk is definitely not the answer, unless you can get him to buy into being a bench scorer. We do need a legit bench scorer.

I vote for going with an early 2000's Sixers style of offense, except with two Iverson types who can actually hit threes (CJ/Dame). Keep loading the team up with the best defenders we can get who can also make the occasional three pointer.

If we can trade CJ for an elite player at a complimentary position (say, Boogie) then sure you take it. Sactown is going with a new logo, new arena. They may decide to go with a new face of the franchise, and could do a whole lot worse than CJ+Plums.

Anyone good at photoshop? I want Olshey's head on the body of the Most Interesting Man in the World's body to make memes with.

@3RA1N1AC ? Anyone?

Make it happen, people.

EDIT: I'm so stupid. I had no idea that Dos Equis guy was known as "TMIMITW". I just always called him "that Dos Equis guy".

Meh, oh well. I find James May to be "The Most Interesting Man In The World". So there you go.

Going into the offseason, we have to be a very desirable destination. Dame is a charismatic leader, CJ is a borderline all star, Neil and Terry have gotten notoriety after this season, and now we'll be considered a winning team on the brink of contention.

This might be the first time in our history where we have an actual shot at getting top level FAs. Not KD level, but Horford caliber.... sure.

Hmm...imagine Dirk shooting all the 3s Aminu gets. Or imagine Dirk shooting all those mid range shots that LA got. He's one of the best of all time at the mid range.
Dirk wouldnt be able to keep up with the pace of the Blazers game though.

Plumlee is a nice player but he's not a max money player.

No Defense!
No Offense!

We need multidimensional big men. Ezeli and Anderson will be extremely overpaid. I'd take Aldrich for maybe $5M, except he can't play next to Davis or Plumlee...
Actually all of those players play both offense and defense.
No Defense!
No Offense!

There's a difference between playing "no" something and simply not being an impact player on that side of the ball. If we're going to talk like you'd we'd say CJ and Dame play no defense, Aminu and Plumlee play no offense. The real question is how much do they positively impact the game, countered with out weak they are in other areas, also are they an upgrade over who we currently have, and are there any superior options that are free agents?

As much as I talk about Olshey's moves being a mixed bag, I very much want him to remain our GM for the foreseeable future...even though he's going to keep Stotts around for too long.
