I wish it was a one year guaranteed with two one-year team options. I think this will be a great help to set up the future. I'm just excited that the tempo will likely increase and someone will get Oden the ball.

With that starting 5 I imagine either Batum will have a much improved Shot, or Webster will be healthy and start.

Am I blind? I don't see that it says 1 year. Just that our deal is an improvement over PHL's one-year deal.

You would think that with Batum and Aldridge running, and G.O. following, he would have lots of targets.

This is what your link says:

76ers point guard Andre Miller is in the process of finalizing a deal with the Portland Trail Blazers, according to Miller's agent, Andy Miller.

Andy Miller said the deal with Portland should be official "within 24 hours."

One source close to the situation said Miller's deal with Portland will be "an improvement" over the deal offered by Sixers General Manager Ed Stefanski, which was reportedly for one year and about $6 million. Yesterday, Stefanski removed that deal from the table, which appeared to officially end Andre Miller's 2 1/2 year tenure as a Sixer.

Miller came to the Sixers from the Denver Nuggets in 2006 in a mid-season trade involving Allen Iverson. Since then, Miller hasn't missed a game. Last season, he averaged 16.3 points and 6.5 assists a game.

So, if they do sign Miller for only one year, what is the plan? Is he for rent and they still believe in Bayless? I'm not sure I see the long term benefits of this deal--even though I like it. After 2-3 more years, we will still have an older Blake and Bayless. I assume they think Bayless will work out, or they will have another opportunity during that time to lure a high-level PG.

Exactly. They changed it. The 2nd article linked to said something slightly different but now its saying the improvement part.
