Man, you need to get off of that kick. It might have made a bit of sense to trade Joel if we had gotten Millsap, but without that move, it makes zero sense.

We would be adding Lee in that scenario Millsap and Lee are roughly equivalent. Seriously what does everyone here think that if we had signed Millsap we would have traded Oden or LMA? Give a me a flipping break people Joel is clearly on the block if we sign a PF. We weren't going to pay $13million+ combined for 20 minutes of bench play from Joel and Millsap!

Basically, we traded Sergio for Miller. This is a very good upgrade IMO!

No, I actually don't really like Miller that much. The fact he is an upgrade says a whole lot more about Blake and Bayless then it does about Miller.

I would have preferred Sessions. I guess Miller was the best option that Portland had a realistic shot at.

I think if you had told KP last summer that all he would get from RLEC was Miller for 3 years, he wouldn't have been very stoked.

However, I am currently in the process of convincing myself Miller was the best possible fit. It won't be long before I jump on the Miller band wagon. Like I said, I hope he does well. I hope he makes LA and Oden better while not impacting Roy's production too much.

And as hasoos can attest, I am way more metal then I am emo.

Held onto the cap space and see which teams will make a lopsided deal next season. Or hold onto it longer this summer, then make a lower offer to Miller since he wasn't going to get the contract Portland gave him from anybody else.

I disagree. The next move is a trade of Bayless or Blake with Outlaw and maybe$ or picks to NY for a S and T with Lee. Then I expect Joel to be moved.

If Miller can get the ball into Oden then he's a huge upgrade. Leading the league one year in Alley-Oop assists by a large margin is another plus. Pushing the tempo and taking advantage of LMA/Batum's courtspeed would be another huge plus.

This is a pretty good signing. Not what I had hoped for but after reading everything I could about it, it sounds solid. TO for the 3rd season is fantastic.

I will go on record to say that I am luke-warm on Miller - would rather have taken the bigger risk/bigger reward of having Sessions - but if he is a Blazer I am going to support him and hope he proves me wrong...

Yeah they offered me a 3 year 20 million dollar contract to replace KP as GM. But I turned it down because Milwaukee offered me a similar package and my wife thinks its more cosmopolitan.

So it could most definitely be worse, I could have accepted and then you know what would have happened day one!
