The shoved guy shooting the boyfriend was a dick move x 100
The law giving the shooter a free pass was a dick move x 1000

I'm not a lawyer but if this shooter has any kind of online posts on some gun forum or Facebook about wanting a situation like this, I wonder if there isn't some other law they can use to get him..

I also wonder if the DA is looking at stuff like that.

Where did you get this version of the story?

The story that I read was that the wannabe cop was following Martin because he thought he was suspicious and then Martin jumped him when he went back to his car. He had him on the ground bashing his head against the sidewalk when the dude shot him.

I haven't seen any version of the story where the guy was physically attacking him first.

Whether or not the fucker should have been out trying to be a cop, or not following the directions of the 911 operator and staying in his car, I haven't seen anything that says that Martin was attacked first.

When you follow someone obviously with some nefarious intent and then you confront the person you're following and get out of your car wearing a sidearm, you're asking, no, begging for trouble.

It wasn't right.

I'm not sure exactly what his punishment should have been but it should have been something.

How do people get that heavy? It has to be primarily due to genetics.

I feel terrible about putting on 50 lbs. since I had to give up exercise. I miss everything about exercise which I love and preach. I felt great and looked great. It put me in a positive and good mood.

There's NO BETTER feeling than after a good workout after you've achieved a good level of fitness. I urge everyone to try it.

A noted psychologist once told me about a study by a major Ivy League university that concluded that there were four main characteristics of highly successful people -
1. Helping others. I look at this as mentoring. It's important that it not be part of your profession. This means that it has to be strictly voluntary;

2. Spirituality. For me, this means a belief in God but it can be something of the sort of the wonder at the stars or the atom or some such;

3. A life long pursuit of improved mental health. Even professionals in the field such as psychologists or psychiatrists, need to delve in this;

4. A life long pursuit of some form of healthy exercise.
