That looks really good!Covid or not, still need bread View attachment 52041
We had french dips with our leftovers on Christmas day and it was delicious.Made some beef and barley soup with leftover prime rib I had from christmas. It was insanely delicious soup!
Wow, using prime rib for beef and barley soup? But no wonder it was good.
So all those hairs in your cookies @GrandpaBlaze were just cat hairs. No need to be alarmed.Opened a can of pumpkin for @GrandpaBlaze's belated cookies. Lucia heard can opener and came running. She was disappointed it wasn't for her. Gave her a saucer of milk and opened a can of tuna for lunch. She is happier.
I respect your aversion to soup. Some are better than others, for sure. Potato soup and French Onion are the two best, in my opinion. That chicken noodle when you're sick and turkey and dumpling after thanksgiving are also fire. Not a huge soup person and “Beef and Barley” does not sound appealing to me. Never had it that I know of, maybe I have, and hated it.
There is one soup which won my heart though, and it is something I’d always go for - French Onion.
Potato chowder by bear creek is the only other soup I’d say that I actually like.
I can’t stand chicken noodle though. I don’t really like the taste of dark meat chicken or what I’d otherwise refer to “strong chicken flavor” or Turkey either.I respect your aversion to soup. Hmmm.... Have you tried borscht???I can’t stand chicken noodle though. I don’t really like the taste of dark meat chicken or what I’d otherwise refer to “strong chicken flavor” or Turkey either.
It’s not really soup, but chicken long rice made with plenty of chicken, garlic, ginger, chicken stock, onions, and bean threads is probably equivalent to most peoples feelings on chicken noodle.
I actually have not, and I don’t really mind the taste of beets. Once you get past that some what natural dirt flavor to it, they are pretty nice. Love putting beets in homemade juice.Hmmm.... Have you tried borscht???
Nah. Hard pass.I actually have not, and I don’t really mind the taste of beets. Once you get past that some what natural dirt flavor to it, they are pretty nice. Love putting beets in homemade juice.
I take it you’d recommend?
Homemade soup and homemade bread is better than cookies.I had chicken soup for breakfast. I made it with chicken and lots of vegetables. Cooked a few noodles separately and added in. It was good.
I do like soup.

Olive Garden is mostly garbage, but my wife and I (fiance at the time) made some zuppa recently and it was delicious.
I love soup!
or a cold soup like gazpacho. Not to be confused with gazpacho police.
Marjorie Taylor Greene accused Nancy Pelosi of sending "gazpacho police " after her. Because she doesn't know difference between gazpacho and Gestapo. You mean salsa?
I wish I liked fish. I bet that was good and tasted healthy.Poke stack, Bed of red cabbage, shredded carrot, Cucumber and Avocado, topped with a stack of sushi rice mixed with furikake, poke and edamame, surrounded by fried wonton triangles. Rice vinegared green onions twirled on top.
