Asked if Portland GM Neil Olshey encouraged Ed Davis to take Brooklyn's offer, he replied with, "You could put it at that. Sure.”
I don't think that's new news though. Didn't he basically say that a couple weeks ago?
What second NBA deal? I thought he signed with the Knicks...WOW. Never expected him to land a second NBA deal.
WOW. Never expected him to land a second NBA deal. Guessing he, AC, Bazz, and Ed will all have potlucks or something. They were all pretty tight here.
People underestimate how young Vonleh is.

I wonder what happened to all the folks who thought he was going to be an all-star?
I always liked Noah.....he seemed to not be able to remember the sets...needed a floor coach like Big Ed to keep him in his spot. TRob had the same problem...with Noah maybe it was just youth and maybe it was just BBIQ..I wish him well...honestly I think Swanigan will be better
I agree with it, but that's not saying much. Vonleh sets a pretty low bar. He seems to have some of the same mental problems Meyers has, which is a shame, because they're both big, strong, athletic, and have shooting touch.I always liked Noah.....he seemed to not be able to remember the sets...needed a floor coach like Big Ed to keep him in his spot. "Come play with the team that should've had the 6th pick that drafted you!"The New York teams are stocking up on Blazer guys so they can make a run for Dame when his contract runs out. Brooklyn will be like "Heeeey Dame--come play with your best friend in Ed Davis and a much bigger market!"
Hopefully Dame tells them what KD said about us going after him--"They had their chance" haha"Come play with the team that should've had the 6th pick that drafted you!"

Vonleh: talented under-achiever. Swanigan: less talented, but looks like he might be an over-achiever.
Some people say you should always gamble on talent. I'm not convinced that is true - and this case is a good counter-argument.
I'd take Vonleh over Swanigan any day.

I always thought they way they treated Vonleh was weird, he would start and even if he was playing well would get pulled early and you would never see him again. It seemed like he had “some” game, but wasn’t developing the way they wanted. I thought if he had a consistent 20ish minutes a game he could’ve been ok.I have to disagree. Vonleh was given multiple chances. The team wanted and needed him to play up to his talent. Instead, he played his way off the team. Swanigan at least gives an honest effort.
A lot of it was probably the coaches pulling Vonleh while he was on a roll before he made a mistake. A lot of young guys only focus on the negative so if you pull them before it happens you hopefully help them gain some confidence.I always thought they way they treated Vonleh was weird, he would start and even if he was playing well would get pulled early and you would never see him again. You very well could be right, but I remember quite frequently thinking Noah has liked 6 points and 4 rebounds and has played like 6 minutes and I guess he’s done for the night. Now obviously he had plenty of non productive 6 minute outings too, but I just felt they way they were trying to develope him felt, odd (I should think of a better word for it).A lot of it was probably the coaches pulling Vonleh while he was on a roll before he made a mistake. IMO it's better to make a young player feel confident that they will get an opportunity to play through their mistakes, and use those mistakes as a teaching opportunity. For example, Tony Parker made A LOT of mistakes and bad plays when he came into the league. Pops rolled with it and molded Parker into the player he became. (Yes, I know Vonleh isn't Parker, LOL, it's just the example that "Popped" into my head.)A lot of it was probably the coaches pulling Vonleh while he was on a roll before he made a mistake.
