OT Free Agency Round The League

There has to be an upgrade at the end of this...there are lots of bigs available now.

I will say though, a Beasley/Collins front court intrigues me. Just don’t give him the full MLE you idiot.

Ed was the ONE big we had that went up THROUGH contact to finish or try to finish. Nurk is finess, Caleb doesn’t have the hops, and Zach is too weak at this point. Pretty disappointing blazers.

Man, they must think the young bigs can do what Ed did out there. Wow

Still does not explain why no one else offered him more. I just don't understand why Ed would jump on that low ball offer....on a shitty team too

Caleb can’t replace Ed. Are we officially the youngest roster in the league now?

Maybe he wanted to go back to the east coast?

WE COULDN'T FUCKING PAY HIM 4 FONKY MILLION DOLLARS????????

Don’t think this is about money. At least it better not be.

I fully expect that Neil is about to give Nurk a contract that pays him 1 mil more than jokic got lol

Who's with me!!!???

there have been like no egregious contracts so far. Everything has been mostly reasonable.

Jerami Grant getting 9 per for three years is probably the worst one. And Phoenix splurging on Ariza, but his 15 is only for a year

We better be getting rid of 3 avg players and acquiring one really good player. If this is solely cost cutting then fuck PA.

I’d understand dumping Davis for Beasley. The second unit would get more dynamic, and Beasley fits next to Nurk better than Davis so it gives Stotts more options late in games.

I have a feeling that Ed wanted out, being in the east coast and possibly starting can pad his stats. If he signed with us, he is going to be a reserve for the rest of his career. This seems like a strategic move by only signing for 1 year and hopefully getting his last big contract of his career

I bet you he wanted out and want to try one last time to be a starter and make starter money on one last contract. Neil might not have anything to do with it

I dunno. Sounded like Ed liked it here and was comfortable in his role, but he’s not one to complain, either.

I agree. If they wanted him back they would have paid him. He obviously was not a priority. The fact that no one else was hot after him is a little confusing to me.

Looked pretty happy watching Dame hit those game winning 3s all season. I think the blazers know they can’t compete for a title with this roster so why pay the tax, it is a business afterall.
