Keep an eye on Jabari. Bucks didn't have that kind of money to give Ilyasova without doing something with Jabari. If he becomes unrestricted, we need to pounce
Hasn't Parker just looked like Michael Beasley-Lite in the NBA?

Lakers have to get Kawhi now after striking out on George. I doubt LeBron would want to go there and play just with Ball, Kuzma, Hart, Ingram and Randle.

Spurs can get a massive deal out of it. I think Lakers could end up offering Ingram, Kuzma and Hart, maybe even offer Ball to a third team to obtain another asset to give Spurs. Then LeBron would cherry pick his colleagues out of free agency to go with him and Kawhi.
I honestly think Pop & co. would let Kawhi walk as FA next year before they trade him to the Lakers.

I keep wondering if I should have seen this coming, and I probably should have. Last
season Neil said (or was it Collins that announced this?) that Collins would play inside more.
Apparently, this meant that Davis is gone.

I don't really mind this in a vacuum, but I really would have liked for him to "Show Me the FA Signing" first.

It almost seems like his entire reputation rests on his next signing, and he does not have a good history with signings.

We're also overloading on guards (who can shoot), so it almost makes we feel like we're trading CJ for an SF.

edit: We also seem to be getting rid of those who can't shoot, does that mean ET is being traded?

I agree that Olshey has stuck his neck out by letting Ed walk. The fact that it happened so quickly and for such a cheap deal tells me that it had been decided for awhile and that the Blazers let Ed know he wouldn’t be back. I also agree that it says that Collins is moving to more minutes at center. For this all to work, the Blazers need upgrades at PF and SF. NO only has the TPEs, trades and the taxpayer MLE to use to make those moves. I’d say he’s in a make or break situation. Hope he makes it happen.

In review, we've traded...

Davis, Pat, Shabazz, #24, 2 future 2nds for
Simons, Trent, Stauskas, a lot of cap*

*if we resigned Davis, Pat, Shabazz, it would take a lot of $$$, comparing apples to apples.

The NBA is a mental asylum, and the inmates are running it. We can talk about teams making shrewd moves, but which teams win is now a popularity contest.

We still have no cap space.

Absolutely, but if we're going to compare apples-to-apples, then let's say we sign Shabazz to a 4 year, 28 mil contract, and Ed to a 4 year, 32 mil contract. We can't really sign anyone else without being hardcapped by the apron.

I'm wondering if Tyreke is going to have to settle for the MLE?

Sauces close to me reporting that the Blazers are engaged in talks with the Cavs.

Trying to swing Evan Turner, Al-Farouq Aminu, and their lottery protected 2019 first round pick for Kevin Love.

What kind of sauce? BBQ? Soy? Worcestershire?
