Wait..so y'all are suggesting that we could convert Turner/Leonard into Parsons/Plumlee and pick up a couple picks in the process? Sign me up!

With Parsons and Plumlee, we could technically do that deal without using our TPE. Swanigan, Turner and Leonard is enough going out to bring in Plumlee and Parsons.

I know Brook Lopez has had decent numbers, but he sure didn’t lead Brooklyn to many wins (in a bad conference) he didn’t get the Lakers over the hump last year either. I could be wrong but I think he’s one of those guys who put up good numbers but they don’t really lead to wins.

Having a center, of the bench, for maybe 20 mins a game, that can shoot 3s and block shots, and you can run an offense through, is not only a lot of commas, but it'd be a huge deal for our 2nd unit.

I’m not saying added him for that price was / is a bad idea, just not sure how much he contributes to wins. Different situation having him as a 2nd unit guy instead of a center of the offense.

Apparently there's some buzz around Toronto+Kawhi. Could be an ideal situation for both parties.

SAS Gets: CJ Miles, Jakob Poeltl, Delon Wright, OG Anunoby, Malachi Richardson, 1 or 2 Future TOR 1sts
TOR Gets: Kawhi Leonard, Danny Green (TPE)

Lowry / Vanvleet
Derozen / Green
Leonard / Powell
Ibaka / Siakam
Valancuinas / ?

They'd be the Eastern favorite with that lineup.

Del. Wright / Der. White
Murray / Ginobli
Anunoby / Gay
Aldridge / ?
Gasol / Poelrl

That perimeter defense is elite. Delon and DeJounte are two big guards that defend extremely well.

I've been on the Harrell train from day 1. Harrell + Curry along with our 2 rooks who are showing in SL, and Neil might get to keep his job!
Swanigan doesn't fit the "Ed Davis replacement" bill, but Harrell absolutely could and would. However, I'd be shocked if he signed for anything close to the little we have available.

EDIT: actually, I'm surprised to learn he's not as good a rebounder as I thought. Still, I'd love him as a backup big.

Isaiah Thomas is still unsigned.

He was 5th in MVP voting just a year ago while putting up nearly 30 a game on elite efficiency.

Because we need more short guards who can't defend?

Ok, seriously, if we hadn't just signed Curry and Stauskas, and drafted Trent and Simons, and seen Baldwin play so well, I might be down for this. But, given the number of guards we cannot move at this time, I don't see how this could work. Before Curry and Stauskas, I would have been down for it.

I don't want him in POR. Just surprising that no one is going after him.

Seems like teams are weary of him given his post-Boston performance. I do agree that he could be a heck of a guy to bring off the bench if you had a good defense to go with him.

I bet he'd be delighted with a bench role and not cause any drama at all

...that would be hilarious if they shipped him out of the country! Would instantly become one of my all-time favorite NBA trades :biglaugh:
Could work...
