Sure we could. But we probably won't. Gun rights are expanding under our current Supreme Court, and I don't see that changing any time soon. Even states are expanding gun rights.

Oregon, Washington, and California drastically increased gun control and it hasn't made a bit of a difference. In fact, violent crime and murder rates have increased in all 3 states, right along with gun crime.

We could probably get conservatives to buy into restricting every criminal, but we'll never get universal background checks. That will just never happen.

The constitution limits the government, not the people. So limiting the government from restricting the people would include the individual, unless said individual were a criminal who has given up their rights.

The Supreme Court already ruled on that. And they are likely to expand on it to further restrict state's rights to enforce gun control.

People are arguing for restricting rights in an oppressive way that will never happen, while there are more effective and less oppressive options available.

The picture I posted is one of many that are being posted on twitter that claims the shooter was transgender. Except many of the pictures are different. Like they are looking for similar trans people and claiming they are the same person as the shooter. Twitter is deleting them almost as fast as they're being posted. I have yet to see any credible news article saying the shooter was trans. It is weird that there seems to be a concerted effort to say the shooter was trans.

What are we doing? When are we going to get serious about mental illness and access to healthcare in this country? Access to education? Improving our social safety net?

The biggest problem with the NRA has been encouraging the "gun nut", in your face, need a gun to be masculine BS.

The NRA is supposed to be focused on gun safety and education...

First thing I had to do when I bought my truck was remove the sticker of an AR with the word "Oregunian" on the rear window. Just tacky and in poor taste.

Guns are tools which demand respect and level headed focus.

Guns are not an extention of your penis, and should not be treated as such.

Buffalo and Uvalde were done by kids. Their brains aren't even close to developed. If you want to shoot a gun, go into the military. If the asvab rejects you, you have to wait until your 25. Idk.
