I'll be totally honest. you know I don't go look at the stats when it comes to that stuff, I base it on what I see. He's quick enough to be, it's just that defiensive tenacity is such a mental thing. I think he is going to be so good on the offensive end, it doesn't matter. You play him next to an Ed Davis type player and he will be fine. He's got some special talent and he's still growing. There aren't too many "two way" guys out there, we'll see. He's definitely fun to watch.

I don't think he'll ever be a two way player. Especially if he stays in NY.
However I'm not sure why you brought up KP when I brought up two way centers.
Only can think is that in your old age you're going senile.

No, I understand he's a Durk type 7 foot stretch PF....... I was just curious if people cionsidered him a center. Saw a tweet form some east coast writer the other night talking about he is one of the best "BIGS" in the game. I don't really consider him a big. He has post game, but not your prototypical "BIG" obviously.

We can win this game if we play quickly and limit or shut down Gasol. I think Nurk is gonna get in trouble in this game, but I hope not. Sure wish we had Meyers....he loves pissing Marc off.

And I never thought I would say that.

We also don't defend the 3 point line very well, which will be a problem, as Memphis is a good 3-point team.

Take Marc out of the game and play at our speed, and we'll be fine.

Not really. Memphis shoots a lot of threes but they don't make them enough. 33%. like i said in the pregame they are ranked 22nd in 3 pt shooting. Blazers are way better shooting 3's.

Here is another thing you don't see much. The Griz are in the middle of a 5 game road trip. This is their 3rd game but they played the Clippers and Lakers on their first two as a B2B at Staples. So one of their B2B's this year is really a no travel day on the road. They have a day off before this game and limited travel to Portland. Memphis will be ready for this game.

Memphis has also got some pretty good wins so far this year. New Orleans, Golden State, Houston twice, Clippers
This team is not a bad team at all. Why the losses to the Lakers and Dallas? Anyone's guess?

Remember when Knick’s fans boo’d the pick of porzingis? Now look at him, the dude turned 22 in August and look how he’s playing. His potential is a bit beyond dirk if he can figure out the defensive end

All our local sports media is fucking terrible speaking of blazers edge. Not one I’m a fan of

Eh.....I don't mind them so much. I will say, however, that I wish they were more "down to earth" folks, who weren't attached to MSM or sports news organizations.

I've heard a lot of people don't like John Canzano, but I don't mind him as much. I get it: he's a bit of a blowhard. But I like the fact that he's not a blind homer, and I feel that leads to some brutal honesty sometimes.

What's the kids name in NYC..... Parsnips Kutalingus? Will he ever be considered a center, the kid is 7'1"

Yep, that is his name. Refer to him this way from here on out. No, he is a PF. He will see some tine at C, but mainly it is and will be the PF position for him.

Interested to see if Nurk can avoid early foul trouble in this one. Going to be tough though. Marc has been even better this year at using the threat of his jumper to attack off the dribble and draw fouls. Nurk needs to show discipline in these situations.

I also expect our bench units to struggle again unless Terry can find a way to get Turner into more advantage situations in the post--It's another team where Turner won't have the size to attack his direct matchup--which has been a key to him and those bench units being successful. He's truly detrimental to our offense when he's utilized in any other way, as either a scorer or playmaker.

Hoping for a return of aggressive Pat Connaughton (I think lately we've seen how he's negatively affected vs teams with agressivness, length and athleticism) and relentless rebounding from Ed Davis--he should be able to continue his rampage against Brendan Wright.

I really think it's time for a Shabazz Napier sighting though. Sure, they're size concerns when he's out there with CJ, but that unit needs his skillset right now. And if Dillon Brooks is out there with Chalmers I think you can get away with a Bazz-CJ-Turner-Mo-Ed alignment defensively.

Speaking of Mo, I think we need and see a good performance from him. He should be able to avoid foul trouble early which will allow him to be a part of those bench units when Memphis goes small with Parsons at the 4. And although Parsons has looked better physically this year, I think he's a guy Mo can have success against if he brings the right focus and energy tonight.

I also expect both Dame and CJ to have nice games. Conley is always pesky at the point of attack, but I think the Dame/Nurk pnr should open up clean looks in the mid/floater range for Dame and Marc hasn't looked great protecting the rim this year. Brooks/Ennis starting on the wings should allow for CJ to get into a rhythm as well.

Go Blazers

Nurk needs to be patient. Marc is old and slow. If Nurk doesn't simulate car crashes everytime down on offense and times himself on defense he will be ok.

Well, there goes your chance at actually hooking up with a female you don't have to inflate.

I'm married

He's a PF, but can play C. Just depends on the other big on the floor with him and who he's guarding.

I don't think there's a such thing as a prototypical big anymore.
