If you could see what was coming, why are you asking what happened?

Yeah, the dude with 11 assists hogged all the shots.

Watch the last 2 or 3 minutes of the 1st half.

I know this isn't my conversation but really... you think Dame tries to do too much?!? The guy is easily our best weapon and should have his hands on the ball even more. When he's in he should definitely get a touch every possession but he doesn't. Dame takes over at the end of halves not because he wants to but because he should.

Complaining about a 2 minute stretch where someone hogged all the shots when they had 11 assists is the only moronic thing here.

I was actually looking for a comeback. But when both Lillard and CJ miss shots right at the rim with 2 mins left in the game it was pretty much sealed.

Lebron had Wilt's number in his head and he was going after it. I almost want to say the League wanted him to reach in on National TV but that would be saying it was fixed. You have to admit the guy made some huge plays and he was not missing from long range. Once it was close he was all about getting it.

I think overall the Blazers are a better team and unless you get a huge game from Lebron just like last game the Lakers won here, then this game goes in the win column. James has scored 98 points so far against the Blazers this year. Approaching 33 points per game. He could pick and choose his big games in the East but here in the West he is going to wear down.

I like that the Blazers played all game and they still had 4 starters in double figures but they lacked the guy on the bench in double figures. It was said on here already but Layman needs more shots.

In the end this game was the LeBron show. Learn from it and move on. Don't let him beat you next game also.

Minnesota, Washington, New York and Milwaukie coming up before a big game to end this long road trip 10 days from now vs the Warriors. Of course Curry will just be coming back well rested like always.

If i remember right Zach has a birthday around New York?

We'll be lucky to get half the games on this road trip if we can't defend better than that. The Lakers played well but we had droughts on offense to go with that poor defensive effort.
Well the bench only score 17 last night. They look awful there 2 time they came out there in the 3rd.

What was surprising to me was that the Lakers for much of the night had better ball movement than the Blazers. There were too many trips where the Lakers would quickly make 4-6 passes and get the Blazers way out of rotation and end up with an uncontested '3'. Then the Blazers would come down and it would be a Dame or CJ iso with 1 pass or less leading to a very contested shot.

There was a group of us watching the game and one of the girlfriends (who probably knows the least about basketball of anyone that was in the room) even made the observation that, "What don't the Blazers pass more like the Lakers are doing?"

That hurt.....

Mouse over Lillard's last 2 minutes of the half, presenter of moronic claims. Zero assists, 3 missed shots, and a foul.

Only someone who makes dumbshit claims would credit Lillard with 11 assists for the 2 Blazer baskets in the last 2 minutes.
Oh no! Dame took 3 shots in 2 minutes? Ph my god!!! He should be traded! Or better yet, cut!!!

Who said he had 11 assists in 2 minutes? You're struggling.

Start of the the game we had good ball movement and really good D. We did that for about 16 minutes of the game. Then when the 1st unit came back in we started to ISO to much and we really bad spacing from the rest of the game. LeBron got in a zone and Lakers had good ball movement and made there shots.

Dame last 2 games had double doubles. Some people don't realize when a star players see us struggle there going try to take over and try to get there team back in the game. But last night there star had it rolling and that was the 1st game this year I seen LeBron shoot that well.

Stotts' hackneyed strategy was to have Lillard just be a playmaker until the last 2-3 minutes of the half. Then Lillard suddenly took all the shots. He missed them all. We blew our lead because of it.

I posted that I turned off the game and it pissed off some sleepless petty dictator named Bones Jones, who called me stupid for doing so. Tough shit. I was disgusted for how the game was going, whether Der Fuehrer likes it or not. I'm not going to start asking him for permission to turn off games.

Understand? Any questions? Good.

Did you hear a word I just said?! Talk to me during THE GAME. There's over 30 pages of posts in there. The only thing that's current is what is happening AT THE TIME. If Nurk is having a good game just point it out to me then. When the game is over I don't give a crap. The only thing I care about is that we won or lost. Posts in the Game Thread are TIME SENSITIVE..... If I saw Nurk is having a sucky year in a general thread then fine, point it out. But not off the cuff remarks when we are posting 5 times per second.
So when you say that Nurk "never addresses his shitty finishing" you are talking about one play in the heat of the game? How else is that supposed to be taken other than you implying that he doesn't work on it? That is a long term statement, not an in game one, and an incorrect one at that.

I don't know. At one point the Blazers had something like 16 assists on 21 made shots. They finished with 24 assists on 41 made baskets. Sure, they iso their fair share and when the ball was moving in the first 20 minutes or so of the game the offense was flowing better but I definitely didn't think the Lakers were passing better or more often. They had 25 assists on 44 shots. There were plenty of possessions were Ingram in particular almost every time he touched the ball and LeBron sometimes just attacked by themselves without passing.

Lmao hoopsjock still quoting peoples comment after the Game

Which is exactly what Lebron did last night also. They were down and the Blazers were in control so Lebron decided to exert himself. Dame does it all the time. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't last night was Lebron's night.

Problem last night wasn't the offense.

Lebron decided he wanted to score, and that was that.

We need Harkless back. Aminu can't be our sole defender on the wing.
I really was feeling it for Aminu. He worked like dog all game. Some players simply cannot be guarded at times.

The issue is that the ball movement stopped.

I don't remember when exactly it happened.... maybe I'm making this up.... but it seemed like the Lakers stole or came very close to stealing a pass on like 4 of 8 possessions in the second quarter. The Blazers were telegraphing the passes, and the Lakers were jumping the pass. Shortly after that, the good ball movement stopped.
