If Aldridge never left the Blazers, would Portland have a championship by now?

Why did he get rid of him then?
Here is one of the funniest lines one will ever see: "If he is let go, it's unlikely that Mills would return to Portland in the near future because the Blazers' roster is full, including point guards Raymond Felton, Nolan Smith and Armon Johnson. Portland would have to cut someone to bring him back."

Hood and Trent can post up and score so, lets let them. I like D Jones energy but he must learned to score off the dribble.

More on Patty Mills: "I'd love to be back here. I don't know the chances, but obviously I feel like I'm very close to the guys on the team here and obviously to the community," Mills said. "To come back to a place like this, it definitely feels like home to me." (talking about Portland at a time he was a free agent without much interest))

Good ole Nate McMillan wanted to do his Team USA buddy, Coach K, a favor and drafted Nolan Smith. Smith was projected to be a 2nd round pick or undrafted yet Portland took him at 21st.

Ant has the perfect skillset for a modern day point guard. Ultra quick, gets where he wants to go, and can shoot "theoretically".

But the problem is results. He shows moments of competency like the few drive and kicks he had. That's what he should be doing all the time. But on most possessions he spends half of the shot clock directing traffic only to realize there's only 12 seconds on the clock and he has to make a move. The offense just doesn't run.

Also, the bigger issue is that he's just not been effective at all. All the athleticism and quick moves to get himself open - they look pretty - but he can't finish. He's a 30% 3 point shooter, on a lot of open looks, and his finishing at the rim is even worse. I'm sorry, putting the ball in the hoop is his theoretical skill, but if he can't actually do that, then what is he doing on the floor?
the growing pains of turning a SG who didn't play a second of college ball into a PG. we gotta expedite his development. I don't think the sporadic rotation with new teammates every time he's out is doing him any favors. nitpicking the hell out of his 10 possessions without considering context (opponents/teammates/game situation) is just ridiculous.

we have yet to really be able to judge him fairly

that's absolutely not true...or doesn't last season count?

you and a couple of other posters keep saying we can't judge Ant because of sporadic playing time this year. But he got consistent playing time last season. 21 minutes a game over 70 games. Was it ok to start forming a judgement from that? And seeing how he has played this year...isn't it fair to add that to the judgement made last season, even with keeping in mind the playing time issue? But also that it's his 3rd season?

game threads are a mess of emotion and hot takes...you know that so I don't know why you get upset about it.

Don't make me start cying!

Dame takes more hits per game than a heavyweight prize fighter

To many turnovers. We are already at our season average. Doesn't help we are shooting terrible behind the line either.

Not looking good. No energy out there on the Blazers end

I'm not sure what our adjustment is on the Aldridge pick and pop....

An in-game adjustment....from Stotts?

Dame is not having a good game and the only way Portland can win is if Dame plays great
