Stotts is a dear in headlights. Is he even coaching? No offense, not getting back on defense

We probably be almost out the playoffs picture before we get everyone back and yes we a lottery team. Well right now I grade your off season with big fat F.

Horrible defense. Meanwhile, Aminu has the best def rating in the league.

thats what happens when your fan base perpetually complains about everything. You underrate and under appreciated your players and they eventually say “fuck it, I’m taking the $10 million extra and playing for another team.”

aminu was shit on the entire time he played for this team. I don’t blame him for leaving.

Stotts needs to watch film and figure this shit out. We are statistically a better team than last year, but we are horrible. Zero chemistry. What the fuck is going on?
What statistics?

All advanced stat models had us as a borderline playoff team at best.

Throw in everything else that's happened early on and I'm not sure why this start is a big surprise.

Just rest Nurk and Zach for the entire season

Some pretty shit luck in the decade teams. 09-10, we lost Oden forever, and then Roy was never the same after his injury near the end of the season. 99-00 we had game 7.....

Made the finals in 89-90 though.

Ok serious question where the fuck is Gasol and if he’s not coming back soon they should buy his ass out and bring in joakim Noah (unless he’s got an injury of some sort himself)

Dante Cuningham would be an upgrade!

We got a bunch iso players and not enough to team basketball and this what Olshey brought in. We different when we actually play team but we always go back the iso ways in 2nd half of games and turns out back. The coach responsibility to keep the team playing team ball it might result calling early timeouts to get the team back on track.

Nas was the only rotation player with a positive plus/minus with 9. That’s actually amazing. Too bad he only got 22 minutes while that scrub Bazemore got nearly 30.

WITH Nurk our defense was still 16th last year.

WITH Harkless and Aminu we had a historically bad defense like this one during the 2016 season before Nurk was traded for.

Harkless and Aminu would not be much if any better than what is going on right now without Nurk and Collins. On top of that you'd lose the continuity excuse.

If you take last years stats of the current players vs. The players they replaced, yeah, we are statistically a better team than last year.

Apparently yes that was his duty, but I've also heard that Stotts overrode basically everything anyway.
I think both Vanterpool and Osbourne played a part. Moran as well.

Curious to know more about the 2nd part.

This is news to me.

Who has the defensive duties this year?
Where was this said?
I've heard numerous interviews with Stotts (especially before last season) where he "thought" about changing some of his defensive schemes at the advice of his assistant coaches but ultimately decided against it.

This is how fucked up it was and could be: Melo STARTS and plays 24 minutes , allowed to collect 5 fouls, and shoots 4-14 for 10 points.
Nassir Little must be protected from getting fouls 5 and 6 and plays 23 minutes, shoots 5 of 6 and has 11 rebounds.
