First, I didn't watch the game.
But, how about E.T. Tonight? 20 minutes, 0 points. Why do we pay this guy? It is just embarrassing. And Mo ? 4 points? Can we just get more from the SF position?
Time for M.L. to start at center? I mean ... Nurkic has forgotten how to play? I thought this guy could give us 20/10 consistently. Oh well ... Zach/Ed/M.L. are the future at center.
Caleb is not playing, but he has lid fire under Noah's behind. Vonleh has been obsessed in a good way lately. Is this a contract year for him? If he doesn't ball, Caleb will eat his lunch.

If you really thought a 23 year old Nurk was going to average 20/10 on this team, then I have a timeshare in puerto rico to sell you.

You never say. “Wow I wish dames percentages were better”. It’s always some weird hateful comment towards him. Yeah we all wish his percentages were up but he still impacts the game and puts up numbers. We know his percentages are better than that, that’s why nobody is tripping 17 games into an 82 game season.

Come on man hateful?! That’s not true I don’t hate Dame he’s a great guy there’s no reason to hate him that’s harash I just think he’s overrated that’s it

I’m afraid nurkic will get bodied by embiid. Also not sure if we have an answer for Ben Simmons. Guess we will see. Dame wants to play but won’t be 100 percent. Nurk will be fine, just needs to slow down, I guess with time he will learn it. Need more out of harkless and turner. Need aminu back as well

I don't know how Nurk will do against Embiid. I do envision Nurk possibly getting a Tech if Embiid looks to clown him like he has other Centers.
But and knock on wood because I've said something like this before only to look like a fool...
Nards might be the guy who guards Embiid. I mean he spent the summer working with him, and apparently Nards 'got confident' by doing so.
We'll see I suppose.

Damn good thing MEM was without Conley, huh? 11 team assists! 39% shooting! What a total shit show. That's a loss against any team at full strength. Not looking good for the PHI game...

Vonleh is going to keep getting better too. If they want to make a trade they need to figure out who they want to keep long term at PF. I really would love to have Vonkeh and Collins long term.
Gotta trade Aminu+Davis. Vonleh is the present, and Collins/Biggie are the future (on cheap contracts). If we can somehow trade Aminu+Davis for a SF that would be ideal!

Ahhh... I see.

But let's take this further.

Meyers Leonard is playing good basketball.

I bet 90 percent of the people on S2 can't type those words.
Meyers Leonard just had two really good games in a row. I especially like the way he's being physical and boxing out. Even when he's not getting the rebound his box outs the last two games have allowed his teammates to get them.

Turner was also a team high +16 despite shooting 0 for 6. Weird.

Gasol got his hand, not sure what he’s complaining about
Yes he did. Then for the next 12 minutes after his tantrum, the refs coddled the shit out of him and let him get away with murder. Vet move I guess getting the tech. Fucking NBA refs.

Yeah but I think to get a good young SF we will have to give up a good young player to get him. And to me Biggie is the one...along with a Harkless or Aminu or Le0nard. Harkless is my first choice.

I'd like to keep Harkless because he can be good...he just hasn't been this season. I'm fine trading Biggie (don't want to, but would be willing to in the right deal). Neither Ed nor Aminu are good enough to have big roles on contenders...but I'm hopeful an underperforming contender will disagree with that assessment!

Man. Leonard has played really well. He's is playing like a different person completely.
It's like the mental and reactionary parts of the game finally clicked. He must have balled a lot over the summer.

LMAO Gasols reaction after that foul on Vonleh hahahah
Was that the one where Gasol elbowed him super hard in the ribs then did the cross thing and acted like it was a bad call? Fuck that guy.

There was pitcher called Sam McDowell in the 60's and 70's. And he was a "bonus baby" prospect who was signed for a large contract and flamed out early. Back and forth to the minors for a few years and was considered a bust like Meyers. Then one day (no one knows why, not even him....) he started throwing much harder and stopped being wild. He was an All Star for six years and was one of the better pitchers for more than a decade. They called him "Sudden Sam." It was one of the unexplainable careers in sports history. He was even the inspiration for the Sam Malone character in Cheers, although McDowell played in Cleveland. Sometimes people just put it together.

Yeah. It was funny as hell.

Or how about this question based upon the game quotes thread:

When is the last time you said Meyers had a good game where he didn't make let alone shoot a 3 pointer?

That didn't even occur to me until I saw that quote.

That makes me even happier.

Liked just because I remember Sudden Sam McDowell from my childhood. Hard throwing lefty that led the league in strikeouts, and walks, multiple times. Sort of a poor man's Sandy Kolfax.
