With prime Dame we will never be that bad to get a good pick.

Yes it does. I want the lottery pick. No use to give rockets our pick this year if we make the playoffs just to be sacrificial lambs for the good teams.
So we won’t see any negative posts from you? Because us getting our asses handed to us is what SHOULD happen? Since everybody, including the coach, sucks!

Yup. I'll keep saying it. Trade Dame and Cj for as much young talent and picks as you can. Will hurt in the short term but it's the only real way we can reboot and try to do something with a fresh salary cap and assets in a couple years

Trade Dame

It's shit like this that just makes you look like a fool man. Do you even think about your posts? Lets just say Olshey was on board with this? Do you understand the implications involved even slightly?

Weird season. Almost 20 games in and if they win this game they move from the 8th position to the 4th position.

What's more revealing is if they had pulled out just 2 of the wins they should have and most likely would have without major injuries they would be in 3rd ahead of the Lakers.

Can we look back right now and see 3 games this team shoulda, woulda, coulda won?

If you can? You can see just how close they are to being 12-5 with a .705 winning percentage and in the #2 seed this season. The season is really crazy and if they could possibly keep the guys healthy for any stretch they could put together a small run and get some wins.
Where did you have them at 20 games? i said 10-10 but was hoping for 12-8. If they win 1 of the next three I'm spot on. If they win 2 of the next 3 I'm pretty happy.

Its for the sake of Dame. He’s too good for this franchise. We haven’t done any justice for him. Give him a better situation where he can actually compete for a championship.

that's a double sided coin though. They could have lost the first Houston game, the Toronto game, and the NY game. That would put them at 6-11; that would be 14th in the West and the 4th worst record in the league

the reality is they've won 3 close games and lost 3 close games. That's pretty normal for any team, especially for a team that isn't elite. I think their 9-8 record accurately reflects where Portland is as a team. But it also may reflect the Blazers have had an easy schedule with lots of home games

Why would that be the bold move that the franchise would make for the sake of Dame? Why wouldn't the franchise just get rid of Olshey and Stotts? Then the new GM can move the players that don't fit in with and compliment Dame's game and hire a coach that will get the best out of the players and Dame.

Why would we even think about moving Dame? He wants to be in Portland and he's one of the best players in the game. If we traded him for someone equally as good you would start saying it's not fair to that all nba player to keep him here. Your argument holds no water. It's nonsense.

A couple things. In my lifetime, I’m 46, there will probably never again be a true superstar who wants to play his entire career in Portland. For that reason alone, you don’t trade him. Second, if Dame can compete for a championship, why not make moves to do it here? Rasheed Wallace, for instance, was never the problem. He was our best player and we should’ve built around him properly instead of shipping him away. He proved in Detroit that he was championship player.

Be a big confidence builder to get this road game and notch that 10th win today.....either our bench steps up and takes advantage of the burn they'll get or we get smacked down...see how we respond to the last loss. Go Blazers!

How do the Blazers move to 4th? SAS and Den as well as Memphis would still be ahead

Not if you trade or draft right it could totally back fire. I don't trust Olshey enough to rebuild a team from scratch.

BigGameDamian, are you TheHCP's insider?

I don't hate fast-break three pointers, but Trent pulling up with a 3 on 1 wasn't ideal.

Bruh Aminu and Harkless were better shooters than Covington and Jones lmao

I was questioning if they were really an offensive upgrade from those two when we signed them and people freaked out at the suggestion.

Even I thought RoCo was going to be a better shooter though.
