wow i didnt even see that because i turned it off. That chick is lucky the game was already decided maybe the garbage league would have actually fired her ass otherwise.

There were soooooooooo many other things they did wrong tonight, like the defense (nonexistent) or the poor ball movement in the 4th.

This was a winnable game on so many levels, even with the poor reffing.

I'm hoping Ezeli fixes some things, because right now the biggest problem with the team is the same problem from last year: defense.
Did you even watch the game? The defense is TONS better. This is basketball. You're not going to shut out the other team...

The lack of movement on the 2nd team has me most concerned.

Ref crying is awesome. Can't be lack of size up front, or an off free throw night, or giving up 114 points, or a shitty 3 pt shooting night. HAS to be the refs
Why can't it be all of the above?

You actually thought the defense was good? The number of open shots, blown coverages, and horrendous mistakes leading to open shots at the rim were jarring.

Bad officiating will skew the score. In a well officiating game, bad calls should have a near net 0 effect on the score. But when it's skewed for one team it affects the outcome of the game. It's not a hard concept to understand.

Did dame say bitch go home?
really really hope not. Not a good look for the g uy who is pretty much the face of the NBA's anti bullying campeign. That would blow up into a huge thing, maybe bigger then when Rondo said that gay slur to the gay ref a year or two ago.

We killed them on points in the paint tonight. I think at one point they showed we had 48 and they had 32. They shot 40% from the floor. We had runs of bad D, but overall we held our own for all of their "firepower". If we had a weakness on defense it was giving up too many offensive rebounds and being called for a lot of chickenshit fouls.

Good game if you thought we are outclassed against the Clippers. Bad game if you think were on the same tier or just under the Clippers.

Just because they shot poorly does not mean we actually played well. They gave up so many open shots to good shooters, especially Reddick, who went 1/5 but actually all 5 of his shots were wide open.

If I rewatch the game I don't know how many times I can count the Clippers getting wide open shots because the Blazers didn't know who was supposed to guard who.

Clippers shot 46 ft's. :smiley-bigsadeyes: They made as many as we took, and some of our ft's came near the end when the refs attempted to make it look a little more respectable in the box score. We actually made 2 more baskets than they did.
That's insane. That is 8 more than the blazers and jazz took combined in game 1

still dont get how a push is a flagrant foul. I'll never get over that one. Literally happens in every single NBA game ever.

Because they fall for the same crap that griffin does all the time he makes it worst then it really is they baby him.

The team needs to figure out how to play with Turner, and Turner needs to figure out how to play with the team.

I kind of expected this, did not think the transition would be entirely smooth because Turner is a non-threat without the ball in his hands. It will probably work itself out sometime during the season, but I still don't think it was a great signing. He's basically Henderson with a bit better distribution ability. Is that worth twice as much as Hendo?
Hendo is a much better shooter.

Go ahead. Also count for me how many times we contested them well and they missed. I thought we fought hard against Griffin. The only one getting open shots, who we don't want shooting them consistently, was Paul. That's on Terry's system. PGs always get all the wide open mid range shots they want. I've ranted and raved about that for years now. It's not going to change. I do remember a stretch at the beginning of the 3rd where we dodged a few bullets on missed open looks by them. Overall, I thought our D was better than theirs. They tightened up in the 4th by being very handsy and physical until the refs started calling fouls on them to even up the count and they backed off and we got back into striking distance. We got a ton of dunks and layups this game. They got lucky that we shot worse than normal on open 3s.
