The 0-2 Mavs are up on the 2-0 Clippers (who just SMASHED the world champ lakers) 31-9 on the road!
I'm quite sure the Clippers are praying to get out of this game with a W, regardless of how it is obtained.

Let's not compare the Clippers and where they are and how they react to where the Blazers are and how they react. Somewhat apples and oranges, fair?

My advice would be to watch as many opposing teams broadcasts as you can.

Ya, everybody has jokes, but I wish people realized how much work goes into actually broadcasting a game.

This is like saying "do you understand how much work went into making this chair?"

If the chair isn't comfortable, I don't care how much work went into it. You work in the entertainment industry. We're the customers. We aren't happy with the product.

We won......leave me alone until we get clobbered the next two games in LA.

See my above post. Dip your toes in somebody else's pool and tell me how it feels. Then comeback to us.

more like some customers are complaining loudly but overall most are happy to be watching basketball

Literally ALL 30 teams and TNT and ESPN are experimenting with new summer league type camera angles because we have access we never have had before. Also, we are restricted and can't have the normal "handheld" cameras under the hoops. During our broadcasting meetings last month with the NBA they are pushing for ALL teams to be "cute" this season......... Get used to it.
Also, the road games are going to be a massive undertaking to even get to you, like the bubble games are. The fact that we aren't there, and us only having 1/2 the cameras..... gonna be a large task. More than normal. On games this season you might see more opposing teams replays as well. There are a handful of teams not even broadcasting their own road games, they are just using the home teams feed, so last night for example, we had to show more Rocket replays for their show back home. A giant mess. Unlike the teams son the court, the opposing broadcast are basically our co-workers. So the league really pushes for us all to help each other as much as possible.
Have all these "experts" contact the NBA, cause it's a league wide mandate.

thanks for that. I think alot of us didn't put some of these things into our critique.

I don't work in the entertainment industry any more. My work is irrelevant. Don't get upset if the thing that you make to ENTERTAIN PEOPLE is not liked. In my job I get paid to provide a service. Apparently my employer thinks I do a good job or I wouldn't have a job anymore. You provide a service to people who watch blazer games. If I still wrote articles and people didn't like them, does it matter how much work went into writing it? I'm trying to get people to pay me for my writing. You have been in the industry long enough to understand this.

it might if you were forced to show ads of opposing papers in your article.
Something bigger going on here than just the Blazer market and its fans.
In order to minimize exposure, some opposing teams are also using the same feed.

so on away games are you fine with us using other teams feed without any attention paid to us or our wants?

42 home 42 away.
Its the year of compromise.
When all is normal, get on em. But when choices are being made for the safety of the employees broadcasting, as a fellow fan, your demands are over the top.

I want that angle to go away. I don't care who does it. I want it to end. I'm going to make noise until it does.

Here is a fantastic example of what EVERY team is having to deal with. An above the rim robo-cam look at Doncic on the bench, it then zooms out and whips off mid shot, then a shaky handheld shot of him on the bench, then a low angle steady cam shot instead of your beloved high game cam look at them bringing the ball up the court. Get used to it.

so a tantrum?

You can call it what you want. I like to be able to actually see what's happening in the game. If you don't.... well.... that's your prerogative. I'm paying to actually watch the game.

i don't like it either. But we may be in a vast minority. You gonna hit the streets until it changes regardless?

You don’t like it. You won’t shut up about it. You don’t care that you may be in the minority about it.

sounds like a textbook tantrum to me

Cool?

I'm not in the minority. There were a ton of posts on twitter about it as well. What makes you think you're in the majority?

A) Nobody is upset, I'm answering your questions. You'd know if I was upset.
B)I thought your work was relevant. I was curious if you worked in the industry.
C)I wouldn't say our product isn't liked at all. We have won multiple Emmys for our show, you can't get more liked than that bro.
D)Our "employers" are the sponsors and if they weren't happy with what they were seeing, they would no longer give us money. Apparently they think we do a good job.
You have watched basketball long enough to understand all this right?

I just searched in twitter “nba camera angles” and there was only like 10-20 posts from yesterday

A loud minority is still the minority

If you are talking about the tweets the guy from Indy posted in his thread last night, c'mon man. I'm quite sure there are tons of people out there don't like it, but jut sit back and enjoy the game. You're lucky this season they are even on the air.

We're talking about a change in your product. Your past achievements are not relevant to this discussion.

The NBA has implemented all kinds of stupid things that went away. The tshirt jerseys. The change to the ball. If enough people hate this angle, they will get rid of it.

It’s such a strange issue- I don’t mind it at all. I love the closer look and being eye level. Some really have a visceral reaction to it.
You mean that some in here have a bad reaction to change? That's shocking. That specific camera kind of feels like we're getting the refs' view... unless the ref steps in front for a second but if you've ever had the chance to sit court side you have refs getting in the way every once in a while anyway (so I guess it's like a moving court side view, which is pretty cool). That's probably why after one season with court side seats my friends dad took the same money and got seats a few rows up at half court (it was a better viewing/fan experience).

I'm not quite sure where this discussion can possibly go.
The LEAGUE AS A WHOLE have changed the way they do things and you are upset by it and say you will continue to voice you opinion until it changes back to how you like it.
Good luck to you on your quest bro.

You guys would have HATED our summer league coverage then. We had Ref cams in their unis....... used a drone and we even did a game with nothing but cell phone cameras! Glad you weren't able to see that!
