He could be good here, his shot looks improved. But he's pretty much just a bystander watching others go 1v1, and it's hard to get role players to play at peak defensive intensity if they don't feel like they're a part of the offense.

Nothing going to change until Stotts gets fire and either CJ or Dame get traded and we know it won't be CJ. The offense doesn't have no team concept at all and then you have 2 guards are below average defenders.

Yeah but I don’t think that’s the right focus. Melo and Hood (and Ant) are simply no good. Who ever you play them with. Kanter is good but yeah you need some good defenders around him.

The Rockets bench sucks. I also don't think anyone claimed they were the deepest team in the league.
 
these sideline angles are fucking awful @THE HCP. I'm missing so many live action plays because of the constant switching cameras.

this shit is worse now than ever. it's amateur hour man. tell your boss to stop this bullshit.
 
Thing is, this team is so much more talented than Houston's that we could continue to play an awful brand of basketball and turn this shit around and go on a run and win by 10, and that doesn't excuse anything.

I know right? Or set screens for him to cut towards the rim and maybe catch a pass while running towards the rim. That'd be amazing.

I'm currently counting the number of times players catch the ball inside the arc that isn't an entry pass to the elbow or post. The number is extremely small.
 
I look forward to seeing how Melo can screw this up.
