Nurk had a wrap on his shoulder when he came out of the game for his first sub out.
Went back in the game and seemed fine, but I wonder if he pulled/strained the muscle on that missed dunk.
Probably just bruised from banging down low.

I saw that too. Just sore I think. He looked good after he iced it and came back in

Where would the Rockets be without Harden?
Where would the Bucks be without Giannis?
Where would the Lakers be without LeBron?
Where would the Raptors be without Kawhi?

You can play this game with any superstar and their team, except for the Warriors.
I believe the Raptors have a good record when Kawhi sits out.

Meyers is passing up open 3s even though his coach, teammates, and everyone in the stadium wants him to shoot it! So why are you blaming the coaching for that? You're issue should be with Meyers for not shooting when he's open, not coaching.
When Meyers does not look for the shot as we saw it is clear to me that he is not being coached to shoot, and he should be prioritized to pour them in. Let's see some plays where he gets assist passes just as he reaches one of his 12 or so sweet spots, and the 6 shots per half that could bring those extra 9-12 points.

Not at all. Not at all. I'm not talking about shading on the ball. The big sags and shades against SGA to provide a safety net if the guard can't cut off the ball. The guard should be able to stay in front of the ball and recover quick enough to allow the big man to stay attached to the screener enough to not allow the big to get an open shot.
You're still putting who ever is guarding the screener into a likely closeout situation and relying on a group of guards that are largely not great at getting through screens.

Not saying it's not an option that should utilized, but I'm not sure it's the best.

Well we got only 10 assist that half not good and 23 percent from the 3 not good but we are out scoring in the paint 34-14 that good.

LOL. that was a hell of an attempt to not blame Meyers.

I looked it up. Raptors are 5-1 without Kawhi. Kawhi is just a sideshow. Yes, they’d be at least top 4.

You're right. Has Leonard ever hit 7 threes against GSW?
Jake Layman is better than Leonard. Leonard is a washed up scrub that not even San Antonio wanted anymore.
Raptors gave up their best player for Danny Green because Leonard is trash. He can't guard anyone. That's why he sat out last year.

Nard's started instead of Nurk.

Uhoh.

Nurkic out to start the half and then Meyers slams into the courtside chairs.

The guards aren't great at getting through screens because they don't know how to position themselves to optimize angles to get through the screen. The biggest thing is they don't shade the ball handler at all, and when they do, they'll force the screen far up the court but they'll still try to go over instead of knowing when to go under. It's a coaching thing. As far as the big closing out, he needs to sag a little less, we need to improve our closeouts, and if the guard gets through the screen well, it'll give the big guarding the pick n roll more time to close the space to the popper, and the popper will have less time to create space via relocation.

Switching a 6'3 guard onto the 6'10 Danilo Gallinari is the worst case scenario. He might as well be open.

I don't even think Nurk is on the bench right now.
