Ah, home sweet home, or at least I hope so.

Blown out the last two games on the road, it's easy to see how the Blazers' (and fans') confidence may be rattled, but if Portland manages to win all of the games on this 3-game homestand, Rip City will feel so much better.

However, this game won't be a cakewalk.

For one thing, the first home game back after a long road trip will feel much like another road game, especially since the Blazers will have only one full day of rest. This will be essentially the 7th different city the Blazers will have played in 12 days, so you know they will be feeling road-weary.

The other thing is that they are facing the current top team in the West. This Clippers are on a hot streak, wining 6 of their last 7 games, and 8 of their last 10. It seems this L.A. team has found a winning formula and they look to continue that trend in Portland.

The Blazers are currently ranked 6th in the West, but with a win here, they will bounce back to near the top of the standings again. That's just the way it goes in the Western Conference, where 2 games separate the top 8 teams!

I know talking about standings this early in the season is meaningless, as a lot can still happen from now until April, but this game itself will NOT be meaningless. Every game counts in the West, and a loss here or there can be the difference between being a 3rd seed in the playoffs, or being in the lottery when the season comes to a close.

I leave you all with one final thought:

Lets hope being at home gets us off the schneid. The Clips may be tied for first in the West but we know very well that doesn't mean much. I think we play better on both ends of the court and get back to our winning ways.

It's Terry Stotts bday, so happy bday coach! Even though I want him out of Portland. He's players coach, we all know

yeah CJ, that's kind of our problem, he's letting you do whatever you want on the court. ffs

GO BLAZERS!

LET'S WIN ONE QUARTER AND LOSE THE OTHER THREE BY LESS THAN TEN POINTS APIECE!

#realistic goals

This will not be an easy game, Clippers are playing well and this looks like a close game hope we win.

wow....so many want TS gone?

I wish we had the Clippers' two Serbians on our bench. Teodosic has given up on the US (because Doc won't play him any more) and has already said he's heading back to Europe, and Boban is glued to the bench despite the fact that he's a positive contributor when they play him. Again I wish that Boban could be on a team that HAS to play him just to see what he can do with extended minutes. I think coaches can't believe he's not a liability because of the way he shuffles up and down the court, but he's so fucking efficient on O and actually not a complete liability on D. He's a casualty of the small-ball revolution. He's at least as good as Muresan but doesn't get a chance to show it. Imagine if we had him to throw it to when we're in one of our recent swoons. You KNOW you're going to get a bucket or FTs, and he's a very solid free-throw shooter. But the Clips aren't going to trade either because both of them are UFAs at the end of the year and the Clips are convinced they're going to sign a superstar.

Curious question: Is there a European player you don't like amd/or think is overrated?

Boban doesn’t have the endurance for heavy minutes. He’s averaged more than 20 minutes once in his career, and that was 4-5 years ago and didn’t come without injuries. Nevermind what a liability he is defending the pick and roll.

I like Teodosic though and have heard he may eventually be bought out. If he’s not dead set on Europe and just wants to get out of LA, he would be an awesome backup point guard to have, especially on a team that could use more playmakers.

Just spent 3 hours looking for an old buddy of mine online, and couldn't find him. I'm not happy.

Win this game, Portland. Or I'm going to Flair-chop the nearest wheel-chair cripple.
