Your first post after a solid win isn’t about how the team did great or that CJ did well. It was to call out other fans on this board. Which is consistently your stance.
I asked if Stotts coached a good game or not. Nobody called out anybody. You make shit up. LITERALLY! Nobody called anybody out.

Oh so when you asked if the hoop experts could tell you something you weren’t being facetious? You really think we are hoop experts? Thanks man. That means a lot.

You STILL haven’t answered me. Did we win in spite of Stotts? I honestly don’t know when he coached good or not. Not one person who critiques him every night in here said ONE word about how he did tonight. I’m honestly asking if he coached well tonight.

PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS 121

PHILADELPHIA 76ERS 105

FEB. 4, 2021

The Philadelphia 76ers fell to the Portland Trail Blazers, 121-105, on Thursday night at The Center, falling to 16-7 on the season, suffering just their second setback at home. The 76ers’ 10-2 home record remains the best in the league. The Trail Blazers improved to 12-9 on the season.

JOEL EMBIID scored a game-high 37 points (14-21 FG, 9-9 FT) in the loss. Thirty-one of his 37 came in the first half, while 25 were scored in the second quarter alone.

Per Sportradar, Embiid matched ANDREW TONEY’s franchise record for points in a regular-season quarter with 25. Toney reached the mark in the fourth quarter on March 21, 1982 against Boston. Iverson had 26 in the fourth quarter of Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals on June 1, 2001 against Milwaukee (Stathead).

The 31-point half was the highest-scoring half by a 76er since Embiid had 32 in the first half on Nov. 3, 2018. Per Stathead, Embiid and Iverson(11 times) are the only 76ers to score 31-plus in either half of a game since 1996-97.

It was Embiid’s 11th 20-plus point half this season, tying Portland’s DAMIAN LILLARD for the most such performances in the NBA (Stathead).

Embiid now has 524 through his first 18 games, averaging 29.1 per game. He joins Hall of Famers WILT CHAMBERLAIN, CHARLES BARKLEY and Iverson as the only 76ers ever to tally at least 515 points through their first 18 games of a season (CBS Sports HQ).

He shot a perfect 9-9 from the free-throw line. His 170 made free throws are second in the NBA to Atlanta’s TRAE YOUNG, while his average of 9.4 made free throws and 11.1 free throws attempted per game lead the league (NBA.com/stats).

FURKAN KORKMAZ made his first start of the season, scoring 13 points, grabbing five rebounds and matching a season high with two steals. It was his third game this season scoring in double figures as he’s now scored 10-plus in two of his last three games.

Posting 12 points and 11 rebounds, TOBIAS HARRIS posted his third double-double of the season. The 11 rebounds matched a season high, a mark he’s now reached three times. 76ers rookie TYRESE MAXEY led the bench with 15 points (5-8 FG) and four assists. Maxey’s 92 made field goals are fourth-most among 2020-21 rookies (NBA.com/stats).

Portland was led in scoring by GARY TRENT JR., who posted 24 points on the night. Teammate CARMELO ANTHONY joined Trent in scoring 20-plus points, finishing with 22 of his own. Anthony now needs 15 points to pass Hall of Famer OSCAR ROBERTSON for 12th place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list (Basketball-Reference).

Every game we have to do this around here? People are allowed to have opinions. Don’t think we always need to be rubbing each other’s noses in it on the nights our opinion looks good.

I say the difference I saw tonight was they caught the defense off guard more times than they usually do when we walk the ball up court. To me there was a difference in pace and the defense did not get set and guys had options instead of trying to run a play and get someone open with the defense set and ready. Was that a choice tonight by Stotts? And if so why not try it more often.

Summary doesn't mention that this game was won because we had 19 offensive rebounds to their 8. 7 for Kanter, 5 for Giles, 3 for Elleby, plus others.

We meet them again in Portland next week. Let’s get past that one.

Doesn't matter.

Sixers will have homecourt in the finals. So it doesn't matter if we lose at home to them because we will win all the road games.

The defense and energy looked better tonight with the young guys.

So either Terry has a different strategy when Dame is on the floor or he’s afraid to hold dame accountable. Either way it’s a problem.

I enjoy watching the young guys flying around the court and putting in a ton of effort on defense. We have been sorely lacking that.... I wish Nas hadn't gotten hurt. I really wanted to see if he could follow up that amazing game with another good one.

If it were an insult form me, I would have called him ..... nevermind. Just find out who hacked my account dog.

some brilliant analysis posted at 9:28 this morning:

probably....but every once in a while in the NBA, circumstances like this lead to a real surprise. One team has no chance to win...and yet they do.
