The entire conversation over the last couple days has been about Lillard not being a good three point shooter. The response has been that teams guard him much tougher than the other players on the Blazers. Hence when he gets a chance to shoot an open three he rarely misses. That is the point of the statement. So yes the statement stands. He is making a few people look like fools at this point because those shots are the same shots Leonard and Curry and Stauskas are taking.

Weve all seen him miss plenty of open shots . Next time he misses a couple open ones its not really a good arguement for the people on the he’s bad at 3’s to jump on here and say he does suck!

There are plenty of NBA players who see similar pressure defensively to Dame that shoot a better percentage out there. Even on the team CJ see’s double teams and similar pressure and he shoots a better percentage.

Of course I dont think Dame is a “bad” 3 point shooter, he’s a very solid 3 point shooter, he’s also very good at drawing fouls from 3, hes excellent from range and getting to the basket.

I just think its so easy to jump on when he’s making them and say oh told you he’s great, and its so easy to jump on when he’s missing them and say oh he sucks. Reality is his percentage is pretty solid, but not elite.
