I actually enjoyed that game. We played fierce defense for a long stretch of the third quarter. We just missed too many open shots to close the gap all the way. Simons might've helped but he got hurt. But I really enjoyed the fight we had out there after falling behind by 27. Of course, it all fell apart when Nurk came back in but I still had fun. We don't look like a championship team, of course, but I still think that we have as good a chance as any team of getting the 4 seed and home court in the first round. Go Blazers.

CJ is a much better LeBron player than RW. That would turn around the Lakers season and make them the favorites. Not sure why you'd want that.

I'm kind of leaning more towards Kingspeed's view than Billups on this game. I think the team in general played pretty hard. They are not yet accomplished enough in their new defense to stop a well-oiled machine like Spurs. Some guys maybe tried to do too much on offense with Lillard out; driving to the basket against the wrong guys. It did seem we missed some good shots.

I think perhaps they were finished and waiting for a good time to drop the news. From a PR standpoint, after getting DRILLED by a garbage Spurs team at home.....seems like a pretty good time.
