For the last 18 months, nobody has been saying, "so glad we are paying less money for aminu"......they've been straight up saying Aminu is BETTER!, That WE are better without Nic! Money has never been talked about by most here. Blanket statements about how much better we are with Aminu. Not going to take the time to find the 5K posts on this topic, but its true.

Again. I don't think anyone here disputes Nic as being a better all around player now and for their careers. But Money HAS to play a factor.

Here is something to ponder when you are thinking about this and their respective values....

Would you rather have a CRV that gets 25mpg for $25k, or would you rather have a Mercedes suburban that gets 30mpg for $100k?

Leaves me with three times as much money to spend on other things and no where near three times the loss of vehicle...

To make another analogy, AMinu is $8 a yea. Nic is $25 a year. Is Nic 4 times the player that AMinu is? HELL no. So therefore Aminu is better for his money than Nic is for his....

I have a slightly different look at the situation. I won't compare Aminu to Batum. However, I will say that Harkless was able to become the player he is with Aminu. Would he have been able to do the same with Batum?

No, not the same at all. At least to me. The 5th year is why Nic stayed. That was a requirement to keep him as he did flirt with DAL but of course only 1 team could give him that 5th year (CHA and in turn us instead had we kept him). Even if a team could have gave Parsons' the 5th, they wouldn't have.

We didn't trade Batum. So a lot of us were glad that he moved on. What did you want us to say about Aminu? Shit, I'm fucking thankful that people haven't realized he's muslim.

Whether we would or not I can't answer. I think trading him gives you a pretty good idea on that answer though. What I can answer is that I certainly wouldn't want him at that price for another inconsistent 5 years.

And this offer to Parsons actually never happened. We pulled it after looking at his physical and we actually told him to take the MEM offer.

Obviously Nic was a beter shotter, but on a per 36, AMinu has better overall numbers. His rebounds and steals are better and he turns it over less. Give AMinu 31.5 MPG average like Nic and i bet Aminus stats look better than Nics.

With that said. I showed numbers. Show me where i'm delusional? I did say Nic is a better shooter, no doubt, but look at the rest of the stats. They are almost identical for their career but Aminu averages almost 10 minutes less per game.
Rebounds are just hustle plays. If your a hustler the more minutes you play the more you will get. So I don not see it ill conceived at all to think that Aminu's stats ( aside from shooting) would eclipse Nic if played the same amount of minutes per game.
Sorry, but the numbers are in black and white. I posted them they should be legit as the came from the espn website. Now if my source is wrong and my numbers are wrong, ill gladly eat my words and toss them back at ESPN, but if the numbers are correct... then they are correct.

I watched both Aminu and Batum play 82 games+playoffs. Aminu made the shots Batum missed, especially in the playoffs.
I can't even imagine Nico making the open threes Aminu made during the Clippers series.

Nico played lazy, you didn't see that? he couldn't even play PF for us. He was weak and ineffectual.

You already have Plumlee,Lillard and CJ in the starting lineup why do you need another soft playmaker? our starting 5 is not balanced enough as it is.

Just to clarify: It's a fact that Aminu is ASS on offense so far this year. His shooting form is disgusting to me, but i'm not going to lament over a past player who i find to be a non legit-starter and a bad fit as well.
