I agree their body language changed because Olshey turned the majority of the roster over. Of the guys who played tonight, only 2 of them were playing meaningful minutes in the playoffs. I disagree that they're not trying, but agree the body language is different.
Nah, it wasn't Olshey's fault... Dame and CJ felt validated when they made the WCF's. Like getting back there was a foregone conclusion. That entire series they just seemed happy to get there. The whole organization let that whole thing get to their head that they had arrived, that the process didn't matter. They rode that wave all summer. I totally think Dame worked his butt off this summer cause that's what he does. The hunter mentality left though, getting to the WCF's was their prey.
The year after SAS lost in the Finals to Miami, they were on a mission, they were going to get a ring no matter what, that was a team whose goals were Championship and they didn't get it. The Blazers this last summer were a team whose goals were WCF's and they got it. Last year they were the hunter, they wanted to prove that the sweep from NO was a fluke and they did that.

Well tough to say. They went into game one off a very tough seven game series on a 36 hour turnaround from Denver to San Francisco and they were in it to the final play. Didn’t seem like their body language changed to me.
They got blown out in Game 1.

Yeah, they play like just showing up in games like tonight is good enough to win.

4 of 18 for 9 points (Melo) , that is some heinous scoring.
It’s got to be the worst of the season for so many shots or at least I hope so.

Had every chance to win that game and game two. Matter of fact they were ahead in every game in the second half.
That actually proves the point for me. They were blowing out GS everygame (but game 1) and let themselves get outworked in the 2nd half of 3 straight games... Draymond was literally beating their entire team up and down the court. They failed to stop the ball on one man breaks so many times it was nauseating. GS was at a point they were ready to be had, but the Blazers let them off the hook. Yes GS was still a good team, but man that was a bad look...

All fans wanting in on the tank climb aboard the tankwagon!

I'm sick of your attack posts lately playing a victim when I see you starting shit with multiple people. You've become exactly what your telling me not to do and the funny part is you don't even realize it.

damn everybody beefing around here latley lmao

guys will be so much happier around draft time

That's quite a theory...

Two vastly different results are due to the few constants of the two seasons and not the multitude of variables that have changed?

that was pretty deflating to watch. Is that really the best this team can do? I understand a little bit of hangover from the Hood injury, but there seemed to be a lot more wrong tonight than just being flat

There are always variables to this stuff, but if you couldn't tell their attitude's changed I'm not sure what to tell you. Look at how pissed off the "leaders" of the team were after the NO sweep vs last year. Big difference.

Blazers were down 4 in the 4th quarter of Game 1, so they were in it. They were in every game, but most people forget that.
Yeah they were up by 15+ in 3 of those games, but because they were "in it" at the end only proves that they were capable of collapsing when GS turned it on.

Dame started off the season doing everything he could to will an unbalanced roster. CJ has been inconsistent to start the season like we've seen in many other years. That stuff hasn't changed.

We as humans are horrible at assessing what other people are thinking and feeling, so I try to stay out of playing psychologist.

The facts are that this roster is signficantly different than last year (injuries included). When you compare the additions/subtractions from last years roster, it's not even close which group you'd expect to win more games, again, injuries included.

GS showed their experience, players and coaches. Getting to the WCF with that group was far beyond what should've been realistic expectations, their 3 all-stars beat our 1.

Exactly this!

Last year they were on a pissed off mission to prove that the team that was swept by the Pelicans wasn't their true form, plus jobs were on the line for Stotts and Olshey in particular.

This year the 4 constants (Olshey, Stotts, CJ, and Dame) all got fat extensions and all talked about how the team was a championship contender.
