Whiteside doesn't seem to be into the games when the team is playing bad or losing.

I thought he was pretty solid tonight. Set a lot of good screens; drew fouls on a couple of them. Five blocks and intimidation under the basket other times. 10 rebounds, 14 points.

Well one thing we aren't very good but I questioning the leadership from our coach and our veteran players on this game alone. This team wasn't ready from our best player to our worst player. I can't say to much from players didn't but our 9 man rotation wasn't ready.

Can't afford to give up games like this though. Especially when there is a severe lack of effort.

Totally agree you can't give games like tonight up if you want to make the playoffs. I do think on off-shooting nights, people go to the effort card far to often. I don't think Portland wasn't trying, they just weren't executing. If Melo and Dame are red hot and make most their shots, nobody would be saying the effort was bad.

At some point you just have to know that this year is a development our youth year. If we spend to much time clawing just to barely make or more likely miss the playoffs I will be more upset. I have made my peace that it’s okay to play/develop or young players.

I agree their body language changed because Olshey turned the majority of the roster over. Of the guys who played tonight, only 2 of them were playing meaningful minutes in the playoffs. I disagree that they're not trying, but agree the body language is different.

Well tough to say. They went into game one off a very tough seven game series on a 36 hour turnaround from Denver to San Francisco and they were in it to the final play. Didn’t seem like their body language changed to me.
