For the most part I'm just glad the Blazers put together a win last night against a team they were supposed to beat the way they were supposed to win.
The Cavs are a mess yes.

Here is another thought. Yes they have won a Championship but you do all realize it was only one Championship and it was their only championship. Then there is a little thing about having 4 number one picks in the last 18 years and 3 of them were in the last 10 years. The two players that were really good picks one was arguably GOAT? Anthony Bennett was quite possibly the worst number one pick ever. He just washed. Not even an injury issue. Dude just washed out.
Andrew Wiggins traded pretty much to get rid of Bennett was a head scratcher also but it did get them Love.
I have got to say even the Number One Pick is a crap shoot. Portland obviously knows this.
Fact is Cleveland had a chance to become a dynasty if they would have been able to keep their shit together and never did it. The only reason they have even one Championship is because LeBron is from there and he had pity on the city and it's fans. Going back was probably the only way they became relevant for that stretch.
I will take the Blazers process of staying in the playoffs and trying to build a contender one player at a time over what Cleveland has done. The Cavs might possibly be in the running again for the Number One Pick. Think about that.

More fun facts:
The Blazers have 6 players shooting 4 or more 3s/game. Their averages are...
44.2% (Trent), 44.1% (CJ), 39.4% (Simons), 39.0% (Melo), 38.8% (Dame), 29.9% (Cov)

It's really good to see Ant making contributions.
ooops, this was before the game. After the game, it's...

The Blazers have 6 players shooting 4 or more 3s/game. Their averages are...
45.1% (Trent), 44.1% (CJ), 39.8% (Simons), 39.3% (Melo), 37.8% (Dame), 30.0% (Cov)

did guys catch CJ talking to McGee around halftime on the sidelines last night? wonder what that was about .

So did Stotts coach well the past 3 games? When we win, I never hear anything about him.
It cracked me up that the post game interview with Terry, the usual suspects had nothing to talk about.....Stotts made a drumroll at the end saying that's all you got tonight? If we lose he gets a million questions....win convincingly they just show up with "crickets"

After 3 straight wins.... only 2 teams have a worse defense.
No team with such bad defense has ever gone to the finals, let alone win it with such bad defense. So, if just going to the playoffs = success to you, then Stotts is a great coach.

PLEASE find where I said he was a “ great coach”..... PLEASE.

And please answer my question. Did he coach well the last 3 games?

The wins against Philly this year are great, but go look at the records of Orlando and Cleveland and tell me he deserves a pat on the back for beating those teams.

That's why I ask, I have no clue. My coaching experience ends with the middle school and high school level. Who am I to question if he's doing a good out there. Like I've said before it never is just the coach GOOD or BAD! I honestly think it's 90% on the players. So I ask again, have the players finally started doing what he has asked?

Slippery slope here. I assume you know where this is going to end up right?

Just have to ask FAMS. When we win, it's crickets about Stotts. So I don't honestly know. When we get thumped by 25 in Big D tomorrow, will they be back after not being around for 3 games? Just asking, I want to be prepared on who to blame.

So you do understand. When we get blown out by a playoff team, his weaknesses are exposed. When we beat some of the worst teams in the league.... guess what...... his weaknesses aren't exposed as badly. Cleveland and Orlando are horrible. Two of the worst teams in the league. If you beat a five year old in a game of one on one, would you say that was a good measure of your skill as a basketball player?

My Nephew is 14 and i quit playing him. Just sayin.

If you are asking a question specifically to me, tag me. I did not ever imply I was answering any question you posed. I simply stated
the truth, as I see it.

Melo on a roll, as illustrated in Philly.

@kjironman~ "Try to remember this is all for fun! S2 is ENTERTAINMENT!"

every team that loses has it's weaknesses exposed.....happens every game....if you end up winning more than losing then the coaches are doing something right. We lose when we shoot like dogshit...that's an area as well as string defense we need to improve but it's the execution that needs to improve not the system..players have defensive breakdowns and blow coverages ..all the angst about the Blazers should be pointed towards execution....
