Melo with the huge possession and assist down the stretch!

Aside from the missed 3s Melo played really well.
Played some D too. Porzingis with only 3 attempts from 3. They left a few guys wide open on the perimeter, but overall they did a good job. Not much you can do with Donic from out there. And course if you blow on him he will jerk his head back and get free throws. The refs were fucking horrible. The last call was overturned only because it was in the last 2 minutes.

We got lucky and won deservedly. Refs did everything to beat us. But luka wide open 3 at end can not happen wtf was that?!? But this team has strong spirit. Roco and jones have been great additions to our team just like kanter. Roco gotta keep up his good shooting. Djones is energy guy. Trent has been incredible. Shout out to Tiny Ant simmons. His shooting from 3 now is bad ass. He made big leap. Melo is back !

BTW, in case anyone was worried, Keljin Blevins DNP was a coach's decision, not due to injury.

I think Luke was just as shocked as the rest of us after getting that open. All game he had someone in his face. Then the switched got hung up and the next thing you know he was wide open.
So shocked he choked!

The way the game was being called it's better he shoot a wide open three than 3 wide open free throws ....if we guarded him an breathed on him he'd have put the game into OT at the stripe. They were going to blow that whistle...they had all night

Luke is shooting 32% from three, not great especially if you're on the blazers.

If he was on the Blazers you can bet he would be shooting better.... STOTTS! Ha Ha Ha... I had to come on!

Yeah but if he was on the Blazers he wouldn't get any of those calls and nobody would know who he was.

always keep a radio handy with some batteries just in case! My storm spare is an actual Sony walkman cassette am/fm that takes two double As....old school!

I actually bought one of these a while ago

Amazon product ASIN B08HCYYW88
has a rechargeable battery (like you'd find in a cell phone). Works nice.

In the pregame on The Jump, they all picked Dame over Luka. And for best X factor, they picked Melo over THJ. They played highlights of Dame’s shot vs CHICAGO over and over. I didn’t see the Luka bias you guys are talking about. Dame has been getting a ton of love nationally. Heck, Trent has been getting mad love. I listen to all the podcasts and read all the articles. We are getting properly hyped.

I should add Luka is being properly hyped too. What he is doing at age 21 is incredible. He scored 90 points in last 2 games.

The Trail Blazers have since filled the void left by Kanter's departure with the acquisition of Hassan Whiteside from the Miami Heat as part of a four-team trade which also involved the Philadelphia 76ers, and Los Angeles Clippers.

Maybe true literally, but not in substance. The official paperwork signing of Whiteside may have been a few minutes later, but Kanter knew Whiteside was in the bag during those 45 minutes.

I think he was deciding whether or not to trade for Hassan. If Kanter says yes, I don’t think we get Hassan. Maybe Miami was now or never and that’s why there was a deadline for Kanter.

Olshey had already wheeled to Whiteside, so Kanter would have become our third center. Kanter's diminished status was why Olshey gave him the bum's rush of only 45 minutes.

I like Kanter, I really do. But, he screwed us, and lied about it.

He had a whole year to figure out exactly what type of offer he would accept from the Blazers.
Then he says he had "6 minutes" to make a decision. Lillard says it was 45. Again, it was really a whole year.
Basically, he was saying "I am a complete idiot, and so is my agent."

As for Kanter emotionally exaggerating 6 minutes instead of 45, who cares. Don't you speak informally, too? His point remained, that he was treated like a third center instead of the starting center who had been the reason we advanced to the 2nd round of the playoffs.

You’re adding a lot of embellishments to the story that was reported.

Dame said Neil gave Kanter 45 minutes. Dame was there. What are you missing? We wanted Kanter to sign with us and he said no.

In the very article you cited, Lillard himself said that 45 minutes wasn't enough.

Kanter knew what he was going to be offered too. Should've had his mind made up by then.

He had decided to stay, but that morning he learned that Olshey would sign Whiteside. That changed his plans and he needed time to think.
