So the promo on this game is

4 in a row for 4th.

Not sure how the Sun's lose to the magic today?
Also the Spurs ain't losing to the Hornets so if the Blazers don't win they drop to 6th is the way this looks to me.

Porzingis was 8-13 last game from deep. 13 three-point attempts is a lot for a center, but against the Blazers it could be even more.

hes power forward/center

but carlisle dont like post ups, so porzingis plays on the perimeter and bombs from the 3-point line

In terms of who guards him...he is a center. Kleber is their PF and he shoots 48% from deep at home. So who is Kanter going to guard on the perimeter? The Mavs do not look like a good matchup for us.

if dallas gets their 3-point shot going, its over for us

doncic, porzingis, hardaway jr, kleber, those are their main 3-point shooters

tough game, not feeling optimistic, but well see, hopefully we steal this one

If we're going to win this one, it's not going to be on the strength of our defense, but on the weakness of theirs.

Not so sure about that? Roco, Jones and Trent have been working better together the more they play. They are starting to communicate better and it is showing in some little things. Steals-Blocks-Traps-hustle plays. It is also allowing Lillard to cruise lanes a bit more and snatch some steals.

This from the NBA app. Blazers are clutch:

Blazers (15-10) at Mavericks (13-14)
7:30 p.m. ET, ESPN

• The Blazers enter Sunday on a three-game win streak. During the streak, Carmelo Anthony is averaging 23.3 points on 52.3% (23-44) shooting from the field and 57.1% (12-21) on 3-pointers.

• The Mavericks enter Sunday riding a four-game win streak, averaging 130.5 points over those four games, and coming off a season-high 143 points on Friday. During the streak, Luka Doncic is averaging 35.5 points, 9.5 assists and 8.3 rebounds, while Kristaps Porzingis is adding 24 points and 8.5 rebounds.

• Luka Doncic (14.6) and Damian Lillard (14.2) rank first and second, respectively, in scoring as the ball handler in pick-and-roll play, according to Synergy. Lillard averages 1.14 points per possession, which ranks third among the 52 players with at least 100 such plays so far this season. Doncic ranks 15th at 1.01 points per possession.

• The Blazers are 9-3 in games that feature clutch time (score inside five points in final five minutes) with Damian Lillard taking over with the game on the line. Lillard rank fourth in total clutch points (58) and is shooting 55.2% (16-29) from the field, 41.7% (5-12) from three and has made all 21 of his free throw attempts. Of the 35 players that have attempted at least 20 clutch shots, Lillard’s FG% ranks second only to Cleveland’ Collin Sexton.

• Both the Blazers (11.2%) and Mavericks (12.1%) excel at taking care of the ball as they rank second and third, respectively, in turnover percentage this season. The Blazers lead the league with 10 games with fewer than 10 turnovers, while the Mavs are tied for second with eight such games.

Would love to see a big game from Covington and Jones Jr. They both have not been good on offense, RoCo is shooting career lows this year. The Blazers have signed him with the Intention that he's gonna be our 4th best player, right now he's 6th behind Dame, CJ, Trent, Kanter and Nurk.

dallas have a bad defense just like we do, so we know it wont be the defense to determine the winner lol

im not sure if dame taking this game personal (cause of the talk who should start at the all-star game) would be a good or bad thing

id like to see him being aggressive from the start and see how it goes from there...

I would rather see a good defensive game fro Roco and DJJ. I am sure they will be on Luka and Portzingis. No?

Gonna be fun watching Porzingis light Kanter up from three. Let’s see if Stotts’ “pray he misses” strategy works out.

If i were coaching the Blazers in this game i would make Luka defend someone every time down the court. Never let him sit in the corner on DJJ waiting for a three. Go right at him. Use the screens and make them switch up. Get Doncic working.

Just got the time for the mobile window replacement people to come to my car in OC... I can finally relax for a few hours. God damn fuck this stupid ass weather.

This would be a nice win to start off this little road trip.

Come on, boys...
