In this game you saw what works for the Blazers, and then you saw them inexplicably go away from it, then get saved by their superhero. A microcosm of this team. But at least we're getting wins, as last year this would be a loss.
No he was here.... waiting for our boys to lose the lead and then informing us how amazing some guy named Dork is. And how fantastic OKC’s coach is and how unbelievably talented the Thunders young core is. OH yeah and how shitty Stotts is as a coach and how he feels so sorry for Dame and he deserves better!Where’s Tripiani been?
If we sit Dame tomorrow like you and some other guys think we should and we lose, he's going to talk about how we should trade Dame because he's over the hill and it's time to just hit reset. If it's negative, he'll go there. No he was here.... waiting for our boys to lose the lead and then informing us how amazing some guy named Dork is. Man that OKC coach needs to be fired! Made NO adjustments to stop Dame!!!! Glad he’s not OUR coach!

You're forgetting to focus on the types of shots they were getting and hope they were getting them. Sure, hypothetically they could've made more, but they were settling for far worse shots than they were earlier in the game. The Thunder ratcheted up the defense at the point of attack and we didnt adapt or adjust, and instead let our offense completely fall apart into a stretch where we shot bad shot after bad shot. Most of them were 3s leading to long rebounds that OKC was able to grab on the run and turn it into fastbreak opportunities.you saw what happens when you have a 7 minute scoring slump in the 4th is what you saw....we could not hit a shot....nobody on the roster could....
Kobe played good games sure but only really remember one end of game winner.hmmmm.....

Actually i watched them go from the "end of bench" guys back to the starters (Who happen to still be three bench guys) and get a bunch of stops as well as Dame doing dame things. In this game you saw what works for the Blazers, and then you saw them inexplicably go away from it, then get saved by their superhero. Three consecutive WIDE OPEN corner three's two by Gary Trent and one by Melo are not bad shots. Ant shooting a midrange or an open look three from the top of the arc isn't usually a bad shot. Melo from his spot is not a bad shot most of the time. Kanter missing consecutive tip ins multiple times down the court doesn't happen much. Sorry. The problem was not offense or the shots. It was that the group out there could not guard their energy and the makeshift starters needed to get back on the court. As soon as that happened they completely shut down the Thunder and Dame heated up.but they were settling for far worse shots than they were earlier in the game.
Compare the bench from the 1st half to the bench from the 2nd half. It wasnt the bench being incapable of manufacturing quality shots.Actually i watched them go from the "end of bench" guys back to the starters (Who happen to still be three bench guys) and get a bunch of stops as well as Dame doing dame things.
I agree it's nice to get a win. I also agree with the roster they had last year this would have been a loss.
Seems like we were watching different games.Three consecutive WIDE OPEN corner three's two by Gary Trent and one by Melo are not bad shots. Seems to me like we watch the same game but look at it much much differently. You have to give OKC some credit for the energy they brought. They scratched and clawed their way back into the game with a little help from the refs. How often do you see Dame with 5 and Ant fouling out?Seems like we were watching different games.
Totally agree last year they would have lost this. The obvious lack of experience from Ant and Little and Trent was on full display. The Blazers went back to Lillard when Ant fouled out and Trent settled down with Roco, then Enes started getting a little more help. The defense is what i saw that saved that game. OKC didn't score for the last 5 minutes.Compare the bench from the 1st half to the bench from the 2nd half. It wasnt the bench being incapable of manufacturing quality shots.

I would love to have Dort on the blazers
Kobe was not a good clutch player: "In the clutch period Kobe averaged 3.5 points on 39.3% shooting and 29.2% from deep. He also turned the ball over an average 0.3 times and held a plus-minus of 0.8."Kobe played good games sure but only really remember one end of game winner.
Also for a very long time the Blazers held the Lakers winless here in Portland.
I think Kanter was out of gas in the 4th. He was a machine in the first half but he looked tired by the 4th because he’s the only big we have left.Three consecutive WIDE OPEN corner three's two by Gary Trent and one by Melo are not bad shots. He missed a ton of layups the entire game. 2/10 doesn’t happen very often and many of those were in the first half.I think Kanter was out of gas in the 4th. He was a machine in the first half but he looked tired by the 4th because he’s the only big we have left.
Olshey more committee to his 1st rounder the his 2nd round picks. But we will see with Trent. Some thoughts...
I wonder how bad CJ is gonna fuck up this chemistry thing we got going.
I’m more excited for the future of Nas than Simons or Trent.
Is Nurk really better than Kanter for THIS team?
I wonder behind closed doors who Neil wants to see succeed more out of CJ, Trent, Simons. Since he drafted all of them will it make it easier for him to trade CJ to play the other two?

Jokic means a lot to his team but we have better record so far so I got Dame as MVP. LeBron’s stats have fallen off this year.Honestly, I don’t know how Lebron isn’t the mvp every year, but outside of him idk who means more to their respective team than Dame. We’d be a bottom feeder without him.
6 straight wins, another road win, another road cover, more and more short-handed. This team is massively overachieving and I'm loving it!
5 straight wins. don't jinx us
Speak it into existence!
