I tried to give them a chance, but I'm just not sold. Will my tune change given enough time? Maybe.

However, right now the broadcast is so boring. There is ZERO enthusiasm about the game being called. Feels like a national broadcast and that's not what I tune into a Blazers Broadcast for. Mike and Mike had such high approvals and yet they were shown the door ... smh.

That's really it for me too. It sounds like a generic Announcer Bot is doing the broadcast. It's a very good bot. But still a bot.

The Blazers scored plenty of points. Their problem is not offense.

Tough to have tremendous enthusiasm when the team is playing like crap. Much enthusiasm right now would just be fake homerism. Calabro amps it up when the team is playing well and is more subdued when they are stinking it up like they have been for most of the last couple of weeks. I don't want some guy telling me how awesome the Blazers are in a pumped up delivery when they are down 15 points to a scrub team.

The last monster jam Vonleh had, Calabro came out of his seat. It was that one-handed swoop job and he was definitely amped up. Last night's Vonleh dunk, he was very monotone because it was at the end of the game and Portland was down 15 with a minute to go. I appreciate perspective. I don't want him going all Dave Neihaus when a single in the 3rd inning of a game in June brought the same heart attack as a walk-off home run in the Playoffs.

I get that he isn't as much of an unrealistic home constantly but that is what had started to bother me about M&M. I loved those guys but the broadcast had become too incorrect and too much against the refs. It was like they weren't even playing another team and if they were, it was almost always 5-on-8. Barrett would get call after call wrong because he anticipated the call in the Blazers favor every time. "Deep '3' from Dame....oh, it's a 2 they say." "Out of bounds, Blazer ball!. Oh, off Plumlee they say."

As I've mentioned before, it got to be a drinking game.
