Personally because I know who Turner is as a player I don't find him all that frustrating.
However I can't stand to watch Batum play. Batum's one of the most gifted players in the league and can do it all.
Only problem unless he's playing his former team every night he's not locked in.
I'd take Aminu 10 times out of 10 over Batum, and I'd frankly take Turner 10 times out of 10.
So you'd take Turner because he's obviously less talented so it's not as frustrating?

Same

Batum is 37% from field and 22% from three this year. I'm honestly more happy with Turner's midrange game.
Yeah, 14 games after coming back from injury. He's a 36% shooter over his other 600+ games... which sample do you think is more reflective of his shooting ability?

Didn't some on this board compare Pat to Majerle? Snikes! Whatever gave him that idea. Pats's athletic but Thunder Dan was like another species.

This team never makes anything easy. 9-0 run to start the 4th and open a 16-point lead, only to do nothing the next 3 minues and give 8 points right back.

I don't get this lineup. How deep in the doghouse is Moe? sheesh

He's inconsistent. He was HORRIBLE in 2015 playoffs. I was glad to see him gone and don't want him back.

Lmao... Dude gets ~0.8PPS (at best) on midrange jumpshots over his entire career. About 0.9PPS this year. Over the course of the season, he HURTS the team when he shoots those.

Well we got that 9-0 very easily. Easy come easy go sometimes. It's fine. We weren't gonna shut them out for the whole quarter.

Would you rather have someone who's inconsistently good and bad or someone who's consistently bad?

Pretty much.
Turner you generally know what to expect from.
Batum you could get the guy who goes 3 of 5 from three in 1 quarter. Looks to post up smaller guys, attacks the rim and looks aggressive.
Or you could get the piece of drift wood who throws casual cross court passes which lead to turnovers.
Or the Batum who could so easily dunk the ball on Westbricks head only to choose to lay the ball up and miss the shot.

Personally I'll take the guy you generally know what you're going to get, rather than the guy you don't.

Who are we comparing him to? This started as a conversation about the trade. I'd rather have Vonleh. If you're talking about Turner, I'm happy with him. His midrange game is very reliable.

Let's field a D-League team because we'll know they'll consistently suck.

I love Nurk but he's not worth major dough. We have to get a wing who can ISO and penetrate.

Reliably bad

Considering you trashed Turner constantly when he joined, it's weird that you overrate him now.

Oh wait... No it's not.
When he joined, he turned the ball over constantly and had NBA historically bad +/-. Mid season, he turned it around and he hasn't bothered me at all.

It feels weird saying this, but I wish we had Leonard in the game right now.

Draw Howard out of the paint for Dame, and CJ to drive; or if Howard sags, give Leonard wide open threes from the top of the key.
