Biggest issue I have with Tolliver is how overmatched he looks physically. He looks straight up slow. I don't see how that’s going to improve. 3 games, 80 games, once you’re done, you’re done. And in Tollivers case, it looks like that slide started a year ago.

Thing is, I don't think I'd have minded the Tolliver addition (to bring whatever locker room presence they keep harping about) if we had kept Jake for only a mil more than what we signed Anthony for.

Jake got nearly $12M?

Did the "MeJay" squad have a night off in this thread or did people still complain?

DUDE. I watched the game as well so not sure what your point is and how that changes the FACT that Stotts only played him 3 minutes last night and still ONLY THREE games into the season. I will agree Tolliver hasn't looked good, but way to early to whine about it and it appears Stotts has made an adjustment as well. Some of you just need something to whine about to be happy. I find my happiness in the results. You should try it.

Boy... this post didn't age well... Hope you're happy with the results! Kudos!

When I'm right? Yeah.

what are you right about?

By the way, who had the best plus minus last night for the Blazers seeing as how that's such an important stat to some?

So Jake cost about $9M more than Tolliver, plus tax.

One big difference is Layman has 3 years and Tolliver is an expiring. Blazers likely didn't want to commit 3 years for him. To be honest, Hezonja is a better all around player than Layman and if he starts hitting his shots he will be a solid contributor and 2 mil a year cheaper.

About playing Tolliver. I'm not concerned with the plus minus stat as it can be misleading. Him having the best plus minus would be the latest example. Skal and Mario should be getting the minutes obviously.

It's not a fair comparison. Olshey didn't get Tolliver to play 29 minutes a game. Not even 10. He was just supposed to be a positive veteran influence in the locker room. Hezonja will likely never be able to start hitting shots in all honesty. I'm rooting for him but he needs to be more aggressive than he is. It looks like he lacks confidence. He was drafted 5 years ago. It's now or never for Mario.
