I think part of the problem is that we've gotten away from making defense the number one focus and started trying to outshoot teams which we can't do.

Harmless was also miserably bad.

I get the starters may have been burned out and couldn't hit a shot. But in scrub time the scrubs were equally scrubby.

This was a game to forget, ASAP.
As young as our roster is...there's no excuse for being burned out in December...I don't think that's an issue

Montero looks like he deserves a few minutes a game. I was impressed with his confidence. What do we have to lose? More games?

The coaching staff said early on he was a special talent that they wanted to develop as a pt guard...I think he's going to be a keeper

Me too. But he's 6 ft 7. Point might be a stretch. SF or a big 2 maybe?

Good point.

6ft 7 point guard it is!

We win.

Yeah, I'd like to see him get more minutes

Pretty sure my first post in this thread was about wanting Montero to be our back-up PG instead of Frazier. In his few minutes last night he flashed way more promise than Frazier. And I've always wanted to have a big PG!

Did Philly just release Wroten to make room for another guard?

What???

Having now seen a few Pelicans games this year, I can tell you exactly why they are having such a disappointing season.

They have a star player, and he never touches the ball. I can't recall ever seeing a player as talented as Anthony Davis who gets the ball less.

That was the case last year, too. It explains why they under-achieve relative to talent level in general, but not why they've struggled so much this year.

There has been no focus on defense since Stotts became our coach.
