to be fair, the "they sucked at the beginning of the year so they must suck now" argument was wrong for the 49ers as well. ONce they got a QB, they went 5-0 after going 1-10 to start the year.

Getting a guy back who goes for 19/7 on a 24 PER and allowing fewer minutes for a rookie who, after a hot streak, is now shooting 40/33 can make a pretty big difference.

The Niners QB change was much more impactful than adding Mirotic LMAO.

I'm saying that a team that can go 10-3 in the league on a given 13-game stretch after they get a really good player (playing really well) at one of the positions that they'd been getting garbage production means they're a different team than when you stopped watching them in early November.
