But seriously though. You could say LA's defense and rebounding are maybe a smidge over an average starting PF. But if we took his 20 FGA and spread them out amongst our other starters, I'm pretty sure we'd get more points out of them.

But Lillard has always been the one to take over in the 4th and get this team the win. How many times has LA done that this year? I can think of maybe 1 game.

Bit over average? Bro, he's 7th in the entire league in rebounding and has the best DWS for our team that's 1st in the league.

7th in rebounding over centers and PFs. Average would be like 30th, bit over average would be 20th.

He's really nothing special in those areas....and he's not special on offense either. 2PA is second to Blake Griffin. and Second to James Harden for total FGA. But remember that Portland has played 2 more games than both Harden and 3 more than Clippers. So suspect Griffin and Harden would overtake Aldridge.

And if you are using that minutes played factor, then AD is an average rebounder as well.

So AD has a slight edge on Aldridge with having the same rebounds with only 1 minute less a game.

LaMarcus takes a lot of shots...because he can. I suspect it's pretty hard to get a decent shot off against NBA players. Aldridge can shoot whenever he wants, in lots of different ways, so the defense has to pay a lot of attention to him. It's a strategy. It's working.

And let me remind you Sinobas that Aldridge is leading the league in second chance points, while normally being 10-15 ft from the basket for most of the offensive possessions. So rebounding efficiency will always be much lower. And like I've told you many times before, he is still 7th in the entire league even being 10-15 ft from the basket on the majority of the offensive sets (getting the offensive boards and put backs).

Yep... He is the only player besides Lillard that you can toss the ball to and they can create their own shot. This helps when the flow has stopped or when shots aren't falling. The fact that Lillard or Aldridge isn't afraid to shoot the lower efficiency shots shows more about being an All-star and leader than just a borderline player.
