I won't judge Layman's game until he plays 20 minutes a game...might be in China, but I can wait

Stotts doesn’t like Meyers but Neil wanted/encouraged/forced him to play him till this season.

I mean, if anyone would like Meyers it'd be Stotts. a Center/PF (whatever the hell he is) that stretches and shoots the 3 is what he always wantss.

You guys are critiquing players based on scrub time? It means nothing

We average a league middling 14 turnovers per game, better than such teams as Philly (17.4), Golden State (15.5), New Orleans (15.4), and Houston (14.6).

We also average a league worst 18.5 assists per game, Philly (26.1), Golden State (30.7), New Orleans (26.6), and Houston (22.2).

It's to be expected that our turnovers (and assists) will rise as we try to move the ball more.
Fine, we love having a poor AST:TO ratio.

$20 million sitting on the bench, waiving towels. Just a gut feeling but I think those guys are being left out on purpose. Both guys could interest Chicago, especially Moe. I wouldn’t be surprised whatsoever if they are just waiting on January 15 to execute a move for Mirotic and one or both are being kept off the court as much as possible to preserve health.

I think Dallas the Knicks will be targets for those guys

there aren’t that many (playoff) teams that'd make sense for Mirotic that also have young players that’d interest Chicago, while also being able to match salaries. I’ve been saying this, but the match is there with Portland.

There's no other time to talk about Jake Layman though...

It doesn't really make any difference who we are talking about it, every year we judge players based their minutes when the scrubs are all in. Other then judging a players athletic ability, it doesn't tell us anything.

so...you just watch the scrub and say...surprise me...it's not like fans are raising or lowering their value one way or another but you scout players...I watch our G league players the same way and I think it does tell you something

To be fair, anyone could write that... I think he would want a link to the actual thread.

With Layman you could just tell all his shots are horrible. There’s a good miss and a bad miss and literally almost every single one of his attempts is a bad miss. I bet in practice he makes them, but it’s clear that there’s some sort of mental block. Nerves, rushed mechanics, whatever. Right now he doesn’t look like he belongs in the NBA. Since his contract is guaranteed and we have an open roster spot I guess we can be patient, but I’ve personally given up on him and couldn’t care less whether he’s here or not.

They don't? Fans didn't say Pat needed to go try baseball because he had no future in the NBA...all based on garbage time last year? We do it every year.
