At this point I don't care whose job it is. Nobody is doing it. The whole organization is sleep walking and realistically it's because of our AFK ownership. I don't blame Jody because this isn't Jody's passion. She inherited it, but unfortunately without a driving force from ownership, the whole organization has fallen into this complacent rut. If Dame wasn't carrying this team on his back, we would be at the bottom of the league and people would be getting fired because of how obvious it is.

Whether they're a homer or a "hater" I have never told them they're not entitled to their opinion and questioned their loyalty to the team. I have noticed that seems to be the trend with all fans who are critical of the team.

nice try....not what I said....I said habitual non support makes no sense to me...and I don't know what you have against blind people but I'm a fan who can criticize things about games and cheer...yet not a fan who needs to bitch my way through a game....I don't care what your opinions are....never said I did but I have opinions about the negative affirmation junkies game after game who keep the same crap going ....haters gonna hate...I'm a fan of Stotts...wasn't a fan of Mo Cheeks at all....being a fan of his I've been told I have zero basketball knowledge or credibility right here on this forum...that's fair but questioning the fandom of people who have never been happy over 9 years is off limits? They can be unhappy ...I questioned ...why? What's the point? Is it because you liked the Drexler Blazers once? I think people can enjoy the win and see that it's not sustainable.

People can see Terry is being carried by Dame and that Dames heroics year after year is the only reason Terry has a job. At all. Terry is a sub par coach.

We can love Dame more than any other Blazer ever (which is at least the case for me) and understand that he also has kept a sub par coach with a job he should have been fired from years ago.

These are facts at this point, not opinion. If Dame missed more than 3 weeks in a year we would lose a majority of our games and Terry's God awful coaching would be magnified. Again, this is a fact.

You can love a team and see their flaws. If you think we have to blindly cheer for the team because Dame saved Terry's job AGAIN, I am going to disagree 100%.

I bag on @AldoTrapani all the time because of his repetitious style of posting, even if his content (sans trading Dame of course) has some merit to it.

There are major issues with this team. The coach, the gm.

This doesn't negate the fact we are watching the greatest Blazer of all time, though. But these are also hard truths.

Terry had every right to snub Quick after the article he wrote....fuck Quick...he might want to consider that this coach has coached Damian Lillard for his whole career and look at the result. With a roster you like.....when you get done bashing Melo and Enes and everyone else that's helped us win more games than we've lost...explain how this team is keeping your attention? If a restaurant has a lousy chef and lazy staff and bad food....do you keep going back there every week for 9 years to eat?

that sure looks like questioning the 'credentials' of other Blazer fans to me, while holding your own standards of fandom as the purest

and I really doubt that all of the Stotts critics started being 'fire-Stotts' level critics in his first or 2nd season. It's been an expanding chorus over the years as the flaws in his coaching philosophies have not only become apparent, but also show no signs of being corrected

The only “good” coach Portland is ever going to have is the next coach who takes us to a championship, whenever/if ever that might be. And that is one of your “hard truths”. Every year 29 NBA teams end the season in disappointment. Another hard truth. I guess every year there are 29 shitty coaches, eh? I guess that would be a hard truth also. And which one of those “losers” would you hire for Portland? I want to see Portland win a ring as much as the next fan but I am well aware that we get to watch one of the best players in league history play for our city and state while providing us with feats that most NBA players can only dream of. Championships last for a year and then they’re done. Dame lasts a lifetime. Or at least for mine.......some of you guys would bitch if you were hung with a new rope......

Rivers posts are based on emotion as well. They're not rooted in any kind of logical opinion of the team either.

In my 20's I had a friend who was always arguing with whoever had something to say on any subject, it got real tiring. Now this is funny, we were playing poker at buds house and there was a gal playing and after about an hour in she turned to my friend who she didn't know well, and asked you always argue with anything said here at the table, if someone said the sky is blue you'd take exception, are you always this negative the vibe is bad man.
I began to laugh as he got all pissed off and left the game. Sometimes people don't realize just how habitual one can be in communicating. Its better to be quick to listen slow to speak.

I think Dwight has been exceptionally bad at doing that this year. It goes back years when he felt Stotts was holding back Meyers. I believe he even came on the radio talking about how Spoelstra would unleash him. After Meyers had a nice little stretch for Miami, Dwight was so happy. Turns out, he's still pretty much the same player in Miami. This is a common theme. People think the coach is holding back Meyers, Gaberial, Laymen, etc. but it rarely turns out to be true.

Winning more games than we've lost is your standard? That's not a high standard.

Terry has been coaching Dame (who I think has been the best player not named LeBron for several years now) yet during Terry's tenure and Dame's career we've averaged a first round exit. So you're making the argument for everyone else. Stotts is the only coach that's had a crack at Dame, what might another coach get Dame to do on the defensive side of the ball?

As far as giving Stotts credit for Dames development... everything I see Dame do that is great I see film of him working on, in the off season with his trainer Phil Beckner. Thank Phil Beckner and Dame for the best things Dame does. Thank Terry for being a great cheerleader. We need more than a cheerleader and have for a while.

None of this matters. If Stotts is so great and the roster around Dame is so great then Olshey is also great. All of that means that we should make a very serious run in the playoffs and if we don't I'm calling for the head of this thing to be cut out of the equation. Olshey will have to go. Then you can see what a real basketball person will do with your coach. Oh and GTFOH with that "find a coach with a team you like" bullshit. Come on man. No one in here follows the coach. We want the team we like to find an actual coach.
