Our best player needs to help us out tho
Here's what I don't get... People get mad when Dame forces bad shots. Their defense has been geared towards stopping Dame... So instead of forcing a bunch of bad shots (which people hate), Dame is trusting his teammates to take advantage of the defense that's not paying enough attention towards them.

He's shooting well? Some people absolutely LOVE to hate him. If Dame has 3 fouls in the first half, nobody's mad at him for that...

Dame gets the benefit of silence by being head-and-shoulders better than CJ in every facet of the game.

CJ deserves the hate he gets for the ISO and turnover basketball he plays.

C.J. hasn't done that this game... People latch onto the ISO stuff, and then if C.J. plays within the team construct and shoots a good percentage, they still like to use that argument.

Put Zach back in. Nurkic is sleeping.

Every team’s best player gets geared to be stopped

Dame bound and determined to get up a shot. Step back 20' jumper barely drew iron.

So you want him to go straight C.J. mode, or do you want him to trust his teammates, who are playing well?

We need to use him off the ball more right now. That's how you beat a defense that's geared up to stop him the way that Orlando is.

That was not a foul

Do you have an excuse for his 3 fouls and single digit points?

Okay, here's Dame forcing like you asked for... Lol.

Dame's last 2 shots have been forced. Not good shots when not in a rhythm.

Finally gets a foul on the break. Maybe that will get him going.

Pretty sure you're talking to tunchi at this point. lol.

He has single digit points because he's not isolating a shooting a ton... He's doing exactly what people want from him and he's been efficient, and now it's "he only has single digit points"....

It's ridiculous. 3 fouls, okay. Fine. That offensive call was a bad call. 2 bad fouls... so what?

Way to finish the half Dame. Maybe that will kick start him for the 2nd half.

Why was the O foul a bad call? He clearly cleared him out with his arm. I thought it was a good call and a correct call.

People also forget how long and athletic the Magic are in the frontcourt... Jonathan Isaac at SF (6'10, long, agile) and Aaron Gordon at PF (he's a goddamn pogo-stick)... It's not gonna be easy for Dame to get lay-ins. That last layup was a great, crafty finish that still almost got blocked by Isaac.
