Layman has been a disappointment so far. I wonder what his leash is. I’m guessing Meyers will play more if it continues, but if he busts as well, an opportunity could open up for Trent as the season goes on.

This is not the norm, but we did do this 2 years ago on the first road trip out east after the all star break as well. I've heard nothing on why. First road trip of the season, maybe Coach wants to get their heads straight. I can tell you that teams in the past really bond on these road trips. Gotta come together. Maybe an extra day on the road will help with that.

I always love the stories about what players do with their days off on the road. Hopefully they all go do something together.

The guys will go out to eat together a lot. Seeing movies is a big thing wherever we stop. Every now and then we will go to another NBA game or NFL game like we did on an off day in LA 2 seasons ago. Rams vs Falcons followed by Knicks at Lakers.
But you'd be surprised , a lot of the guys just chill or go to the gym at our hotels.
