The bench is what will get this team over the top. The nation can overlook this team all they want, but the Blazers are a Young, skilled, explosive determined team. Future looks mighty bright in rip city.

I'm watching the DVR since I couldn't catch the game live (but my phone told me about Dame's 41 point day) so it was cool to see the Orlando broadcasting team pointing out Dame's struggles in Orlando hahaha

Im not even totally sold on Zach, but I dont know why Aminu is starting and getting so many minutes. Zach seems like the obvious answer at PF...

He's good but if he starts, that means Meyers is the first one off the bench.

So you want Meyers to play back up center? I admit I have also asked for a Zach-Nurk front court, but the way teams are going small I think we are better with Zach at bu center and another shooter at PF.

What I would have liked and didn't see is Zach at Center and Meyers at PF. Meyers played the Center when they were both on the floor

Zach would still see some time at center depending on match ups and all that I just think they should put Nurk and Collins out there together more and less of Aminu even if it means playing Harkless and Layman see minutes at the 4.

Zach is a Center, when they played him at PF next to Meyers at Center the Magic closed our entire lead

Zach has a chance to be really good. All Star good in the future in my opinion. I like having him or Nurk on the court always.

That was a fun game to watch in person. My few takeaways:

The Magic have the worst mascot in professional sports, and I've been to a Phillies game.

Dame is the shit. I know all the Orlando fans around us were pissed as I was tapping my wrist the entire second half.

The Amway Center doesn't even come close to the Rose Garden.

Nik is my favorite player to make nicknames for.

Nurk with his 6th steal in 4 games, leading the team in both steals and rebounds (though Aminu is very close in rebounds).

Nurk is a better defender than Meyers but playing him or Meyers under the basket with Zach on the perimeter is a waste of Zach's talents. As good as he is as a Center, he would disappoint you as a PF

I don't know why you think that playing Zach at the 4 means they have to stick him out at 25 feet away from the basket. He may see more looks on offense away from the basket but on defense he's gonna be fine.

Im sure others noticed this, but it seems that it's either Nik or Seth that have strong games, but so far not at the same time.

Really like what I'm seeing out of Zach this year.

Turner with another good game with 7 assists and made almost all his shots. I don’t miss him shooting threes.

Looks like Layman is filling the Vonleh role. Lol. I’d actually like to see him with that second unit once Harkless starts. He fits that open style. Might even see more shots which could help him get going. At least if he fails with them, he got a fair shake.

Aminu is better if he shoots 3s like he did last year. He has more defensive versatility, but we don't have switchable guards to take advantage of that, and I'm not sure he's better at guarding bigs than Collins. At this point, Collins is definitely better offensively.
