It feels like Dames FTA rate is down a lot this season. Wonder if that has to do with his struggles.

his career mark is .335; last 2 seasons about .370. This year it's .280. by far the lowest since his rookie season. That's a cost of playing Dame off the ball

Stotts would never play Dennis Smith this many minutes

I disagree with that. I think it's myth. The few times that Stotts was actually given a viable Backup PG, he gave the guys minutes: Eric Maynor, Mo Williams, Steve Blake. Olshey has simply refused to add one till this season and I'd bet that Billups pushed for Smith

Yeah except all those guys were vets

Nurk: 23 Minutes, 17 pts (on only 8 FG attempts) and 8 boards.

Just looking at those numbers, you would say he played pretty well. It sure didn't seem that way in real time.

How many of those guys played extensive minutes with C.J.? Mo Williams played when C.J. averaged 12.5 minutes per game. Not a good point at all. It's really hard to say that Stotts would play him or not. He played Curry, but he wasn't exactly a point. He played Shabazz. So maybe. But I also am not certain he would recognize DSJ's abilities and how they would help within his system.

I think this is a product of you seeing what you want to see

Look at harden, young

product of rule changes I believe

Great half of for this team on both side of the ball. Adjust on defense was they took the corners away from Memphis plus was more active. On offense besides Dame starting hit shots just more movement towards the hoop by players without the ball plus guards hitting them on the way to hoop. Tonight wasn't forcing the pass they took what was gave them. So give the coaches credit for the adjustment in the 2nd half.
