Dame is so feast or famine. This is his 3rd straight inefficient night.. Can't stand his inconsistency this season

We played a good Atlanta team down to the wire tonight. If not for a couple of dry spells, we could have easily won that one.

We stunk at the deep ball pretty much all night and the Hawks are a pretty good team

Why? This is the best season for him to be inconsistent. I love that he's actually been trying passes he wouldn't have attempted in previous seasons - they may lead to TOs now, but it'll pay dividends in the future.

I guess that's fair

This game was a microcosm of the roster. We're way more competitive than most people expected, because we've always got 2-3 hustle players on the floor along with at least one hot perimeter player. It also showed the limitations, however. CJ carried the team for three quarters, and Dame carried the team in the 4th. One guy firing away can keep you in the game, but the general inability of them to do it simultaneously makes it easier to defend than the theoretical dilemma of how to focus on both at once.

The best team won. It's a talent thing. The Blazers simply don't have enough of it.

I think the game showed just the opposite. The Blazers had plenty of talent to keep it competitive, and the outcome uncertain, right up until crunch time. Our problem is the talent isn't complimentary, so we can't load up down the stretch and have our five best players firing on all cylinders like the good teams can.

Give the ball to CJ and get the fuck out of the way people!

Big guys who shoot 3s are killing us this season, when will Terry wake up to this problem? and can we just get Markieff Morris already?

Vonleh is starting to cook though!

Chalk this L up to Coach Stotts and his maddening rotations. Plumlee and Vonleh had things rolling in the first quarter, yet he takes both of them out at the 6 minute mark and everything went downhill from there. Then, in the fourth quarter, Stotts decided to go small when the Hawks had Millsap and Horford on the floor and our defense was completely nonexistent. Maybe one day Coach will actually give Vonleh 20+ minutes of playing time a night ...

Crabbe was a no-show.

Leonard is turning into Ha-Seung Jin-ian entertainment.

CJ got into the lane whenever he wanted.

Dame hit the side of the backboard twice.

It looked to me like he was trying to shoot a bank shot. Is he trying to add that to his repertoire?

Certainly when a team goes 5.5 minutes without scoring a point coaching is to blame. The Hawks played some great defense for much of the game, but half of Stotts' job is to come up with something to counter the opponent's defense.

In Stotts defense, he did have to face an upper tier coach.

Sorry bro. The Blazers got outclassed by a better team last night. Simple as that.
