What about Harkless? Solid. 15 pts, 10 reb, 3 blks. And he's only 22!

(His only other double-double was way back on 2-2-13, with 19 pts & 14 reb.)
He's awesome and will get better. We are so much better than last year.

I've seen about enough of Vonleh. He just contributes nothing. Send him to D-league and put Kaman in the rotation.

All this totalitarian remarks about how this guy is good, that guy sucks, our team is good, our team sucks... really needs to just be curtailed for a few games. It's the 5th game! We have 77 games left! And beyond that, we have years with some of these guys.

I just hope for consistency from CJ... I -hope- and -believe- he can do it... but I can't say he sucks or is good based on so few of games. Same with Vonleh, etc.

I'm excited for the win. But damn, lets remember it's the 5th of 82. EIGHTY TWO.

Very excited for Harkless. He was huge for us. That and the 62-16 advantage we had over their starting back court.

Contributes nothing except big rebounds and underrated man defense. What a SCRUB. CUT HIM
LOL "big rebounds". Dude has 10 points and 13 rebound in 73 minutes of play this year. And tonight he had 0 rebounds. Only you have said to cut him. I say put him in d-league.

How the hell does one team get 3 home openers? Is that an nba record?
I would think so. Can't imagine a team having 4. Just from logistics its crazy we're a week into the season and a team hasn't played a home game.

It's not "totalitarian". I just don't need to see anymore of Vonleh to see he's not ready to contribute as a rotational player.

He's been bad, really really bad. If he was 30 years old people would say he's one of the worst basketball players they've ever seen. I'm excited for his potential but not sure if putting him in positions he's failing is best for his long term growth.

Haaaaaaa the Jazz stream I am watching just showed the silliest looking promo/commercial...enjoy!

full

Haha awesome! You could tell someone this was from 1970 they'd believe you.

I think you need to see the value he brings, not what he doesn't bring. He's a good player. He's good for this squad

Yeah all players have some negatives. Its about finding the right mix where they mask negatives and highlight positives.

It's hard for me to like Plumlee when he's so bad at free throws.. I'm harping about it but it's just so frustrating.
It's not just that he misses them. It's the way he misses them. Ridiculous. Just fucking do the Rick Berry underhand shot. It would be less embarrassing and more effective.

I'm not seeing much about him to get excited about either. He looks more like someone who might be a decent backup in the league.

Harkless can post up, hit a 3, run a fast break, play d. Is he better than wes?

If a 30 year old Wes got a max deal with a torn Achilles whats Harkless going to get?

Glad we got cap space because we might need it just to keep our young guys the next few years. Glad we didn't lock $10+mil a year on Meyers too!

How the hell do you win a game with the team only getting 11 assists?
Play a team that will only get nine.

I saw Meyers played 11 minutes. What happened?

Favors stepped under him when he shot a jumper, causing Meyers to roll his ankle. No word on the severity of the injury yet.

Blazers held the Jazz to well under 40% from the field. If they can do that consistently, they may have more success than I gave them credit for.

If we can do that consistently we'll have the best record in the NBA.

I'll be happy if we can keep up the effort, decisions, and gameplans. This game was abnormally bad offense from Utah. Opponents won't always be this cold and when we don't shoot so well we won't have the chance to get our defense set. Very encouraging game though!

Hack a plums is going to happen. If that game was close tonight, Snyder would have done it.

Teams did it because Dwight, Shaq, DeAndre were some of the most dominant physical centers in the game and their teams were elite. I don't think it happens with us much until we are regarded as a legit playoff team.

If it does Stotts can just change the rotation, always play Plumlee the start of quarters and be ready to pull him out when opponents are in the bonus. I don't think it matters much.

Dame has been killing these last two games. Glad I can shut up about his 3 pointer. Hope this continues Bc I've been saying his finishes are elite level now.

And what's up with vonleh? What do you guys see in him? He plays ok defense I'll give him that but he's weak to me other than that. Randall is the same age as him and is muuuuch better.

Harkless and Aminu are night and day better than Batum..

Was it just a coincidence that we did so much better once Leonard was out of the game?
I was actually going to say/post ^ but u beat me to it:wink: I'm not anti-Leonard/haven't been & feel a little bad for saying this but... after he went out... I REALLY like how our guys looked/what they did out there; they looked locked in, cohesive, & there was a good flow to their game/attack/defense. I gotta say, after seeing the display tonight after Leonard went out, I'm thinking it best when the time/deal is right, we trade him/package him up while he's got so much value/while we still can. Will Leonard get better? I still think he will improve some (not a ton) but as far as how our team plays/flows best... even an improved Leonard isn't what our team needs; we trade for what we need, what we've got now w/o Leonard I'm liking!
