Yea. Saw that on replay. But was it any worse than what Florida has done with their diving and embellishment?Z reacted like a soccer player. That was not a penalty.
You need to come the fuck down. That was not the time to sell it.He tried to sell it like Florida has sold so many penalties.
You’re on crack. First off, he wasn’t winning that puck because he’s too soft to win a board battle, so when he felt contact he embellished it. Second, that’s super ironic you telling someone to calm down when you are literally blaming Igor for giving up goals when his defensemen have left him out to dry how many times each game? “Igor should have stopped that.” How about Fox and Schneider play defense line they are supposed to and then Igor doesn’t have to even have a shot on goal there to try and stop? You need to come the fuck down. That was not the time to sell it.
It’s the Hank years all over again. Wasting a great goalie because our players lack heart and our GM doesn’t make the right moves.Just like last year, and the year before against TB, and the many other years before this, it's about the players. The team will soon be 1-4 in the ECF in the past 13 years, that is not some sort of unfortunate stat, when they do get a little run going, they just cannot get it done as the water gets deeper.
Another big playoff game, especially at home, and the Rangers score, one real goal (the 2nd goal was too little too late, and 16 shots combined in the 2nd & 3rd periods. It is very frustrating being a fan of this team, they have been good over this run, not easy to make 5 ECF's in 13 seasons, but not good enough to be the best, always a few slots below.
And considering they have a lot of bigger contracts and NMC/NTC I really don't know what Drury can do to mix it up. Sure, Mika maybe has to go with his constant weak efforts in big spots, Panarin disappeared again in big spots, but how do you trade those guys with NMC's, who is taking their contracts, how do you get even somewhat fair value.
My guess is next season will be rinse and repeat again. We'll be a little worse in the regular season I am sure, and if we win a round or two in the playoffs, we won't be good enough to go all the way anyway, so quite frankly who really cares. Sad, but how I feel right now, what is really the point of it all. If the team this year couldn't get it done with a 2-1 lead in the ECF and home ice, and a team that overcame all challenges this season, why will next season be any different, it simply will not be.
100% agree. Truthfully Igor let in maybe 3 questionable goals in this series, but without him we aren't anywhere near where we are now.The 2nd goal was weak, yes, but Igor is the only reason we are still in the series.
Trade goalies with FL and we would have lost the series already.
But it is the coach putting Mika out there. If under a player is struggling and zapping the life out of our team, then it is my job as a coach to get that guy out of that position. Play him on the PK, give him his normal 5v5 ice time, but he doesn’t need to be on the PP unit. Lavi is the one fucking up with Mika on the PP and deserves blame 100% for that.100% agree. And can we please stop with the coach stuff. Just like last season when God could have been our coach and we would have lost, at some gosh darn point it HAS to be about the players, enough is enough now. Too many of these guys are soft and don't get it done in big spots, Mika and Panarin right at the front of the line. That is not the coach.
I said it and several others did too. The trade deadline could have solidified this team into a deep roster winning the cup. Instead we got a 3rd liner and a 4th liner…oh and an 8th dman.Roslovic is completely useless yet this was a big deadline move.
Agreed, why play him if that was the plan, you might as well play Wheeler at that point. That I will get on Lav for a bit, I don't understand dressing Rempe only to not really play Rempe.wow....4 shifts for Rempe. What is the point?
Exactly. If he’s only getting 4 shifts but we keep putting Mika out there on the PP then that’s a coaching mistake. Rempe does make Florida move the puck quicker. In the second period Florida has a turnover because Rempe is coming in on the sideboards and is preparing to hit a Panther who has the puck against the boards. Panthers player sees it and just throws it towards the middle of the ice and we intercept and got a break out of it. Rempe’s reward? No shifts after that. Mika kills the PP and gets rewarded for it. Just terrible coaching not holding guys accountable.wow....4 shifts for Rempe. What is the point?

Yes, but Lav keeps putting Mika out there on the PP. Unless Mika is putting himself out there, someone on the coach g staff needs to be shitcanned for putting Mika out there over and over again. When we struggle Lav will change up lines during the game and from game to game. Yet the one CONSTANT is that Mika keeps getting PP1 time where he continues to hurt the team. At the ver least getting him off the PP1 will give his “weary” legs more rest and give him more time on the bench to change his tampon.Agreed, why play him if that was the plan, you might as well play Wheeler at that point. You want to get one someone other than the players, which is where 98% of the focus should be IMO, get on Drury. He added sh*t at the trade DL. Wennberg scored a nice OT goal in game 3, he literally had ONE goal in the other 30+ games as a Ranger. And Roslovic didn't add a damn thing.
I am laser focused on the soft "top players" on this team who don't get it done in big spots year after year, but if I were to talk about something after 98% focus is on the players, I would talk about Drury before I talk about Lav.
Maybe, as crazy as it sounds, it will take being in an elimination game for some of them to show up.
It’s more likely this team gets run out of the building Saturday then pulls a rabbit out of the hat and wins.Maybe, as crazy as it sounds, it will take being in an elimination game for some of them to show up.
I don't disagree with maybe switching Mika off PP1, but not sure what else you do outside of that. Do you play 2 goals in 35 games Wennberg over him at # 1 C? Not sure you really have other options to move Mika down to the bottom 6 let's say. But even if I agreed and was all in on moving Mika down, I am not going to say man Lav really f'd us and is the reason the players didn't step up AGAIN in a big spot, it's Lav. Again, at some point these players that continue to show up small in big spots, especially at home, have to be the focus. But it is the coach putting Mika out there. I'm actually with you on this one. Not saying they win Saturday night, but in no way would I be shocked if we won game 6, and then of course laid an egg in game 7 at MSG. I have always felt we do better work on the road in these big spots rather than at home. Notice how many of these big games at home we score 0 or 1 goal, and tonight we essentially score 1 goal again.Maybe, as crazy as it sounds, it will take being in an elimination game for some of them to show up.
