Terrible 2 points added. Games like this are why the Rangers may not finish in the bottom 3 overall, thus hurting their chances to win the draft lottery. It's also why the sooner Drury trades away at least Panarin, the better. We don't want points, and getting rid of Panarin, who is very good in the regular season, will help us lose more.
It may have to wait a bit though, as Panarin's cap impact goes down as the season progresses. Even with us retaining the max 50% of his cap hit, it's still a big number given Panarin's $11.625M overall cap hit at the start of the season.
