Sounds good going forward.

Big fan of this. Problem is Zach seems the type to have consistent minutes to be able to perform confidently so I can’t really be mad at Meyers playing more when he does better in the limited minutes.

He's only 22 but he's a shot blocking fool and fast

I’m a UK guy but my only concern with Skal is that he’s underachieved/underperformed at both levels so far. I’m rooting for him though.

am I the only one who has noticed in these last few games when CJ has been on a tear, he's cut way down on all his dribble-shake-and-bake-side-to-side-between-the-legs-hero-ball and has caught and shot a lot more? In the last 3-4 weeks his assisted FG rate has gone from 39% to above 46% now (I've been watching those numbers). After tonight it will be higher. He should have dribbling a lot less and moving off the ball a lot more over the last 3 seasons...like now. He's not going to stay scalding hot like he has been, but if he can keep his assisted FG up close to 50% he'll be a lot more efficient and his low assist numbers won't matter as much because he won't be burning thru so much shot clock

oh...Reggie Miller makes me want to gouge out my eardrums

Back to a season high 12-games over 500!

We're 4 games ahead of last year's pace, and only 3 games behind the pace of 2014-15 (Aldridge's last year as a Blazer).

I'm liking how the Blazers are playing as of late. I think Hood will be a welcome addition to strengthen that bench. And Layman continues to impress me.

Shit’s about to get real with our upcoming schedule.

Loved the line up in crunch time. Nurk, Jake, Hood, CJ, and Dame. It won't work against every team but we needed a better option against small ball teams.

It’s much more dynamic offensively and I think Jake will get better defensively he just needs time. This is his first year really with any sort of role and you can see how antsy he is on defense. At the same time you also see flashes of a pretty good defender.

Offense was good tonight pickup 26 assist tonight and the bench 38 points. Hood look good on both ends. I like Stotts kept with Hood and Jake with the starters. Negative we couldn't guard the 3 point line sometimes we wasn't even 10 feet of them. Hood did good job on Gay when gay came back in. Well I always say every win is a good win.

I know he weighs a lot less then someone like Mirotic, but I kept going back and fourth on giving too much up for a stretch 4 when we need to find minutes for Jake. Plus Jake can cover the perimeter better than Mirotic. (Mirotic probably stronger down low)

Dame moves into 13th place passing Mychal Thompson. He's only 21 behind, yep, LaMarcus Aldridge. Dame is averaging 1.1 steals per game this year. 28 games remaining. Dame will most likely pass Aldridge by the end of this season.

Yeah and what I like about Jake at the four is offensively he presents big time matchup problems. Wings have trouble keeping up with him, forget any traditional/bigger sized four. He could probably average six or seven easy buckets on off ball action if his teammates just did a better job of finding him. He’s constantly open yet the only guys that consistently look for him are Nurk and Turner.

4 of the top 6 played together for several years. Those Drexler teams were great and was the most physical Blazer team ever

Is it just me or does pop never care about winning the game when he comes to Portland? Almost like he’s got other shit to do ie wine tasting

He owns a winery here I've been told...he should make CJ his partner

After the game on the TNT broadcast, McCollum said that getting more catch-and-shoot treys has helped him get hot. In his previous five games, McCollum has 2.4 catch-and-shoot treys, which crushes his 1.1 catch-and-shoot treys in his previous 47 games

Hey remember a few weeks back when this exact thing was talked about on this board? That we use him more like Klay and less like Dame? Nice to see Stotts come around. Now where’s our commission

I do remember that well. As I recall a few of us mentioned that if there were more shooters on the floor to spread the floor besides Dame, then it would open things up for CJ to catch and shoot. Jake is a big part of that as they both move well without the ball. Hood can help with that as well. Similar to GS when they put 4 shooters out on the floor. I think Terry loves that style of offense.

Jeez. I don't think I've been into a game like that in a long time. After the last couple of days with the trade deadline it just felt like an exorcism. The people next to me looked at me like I was a drunk British sailor being kicked out of a pre war Dutch whore house.

I think the excessive time off for the Blazers right before the trade deadline, made the trade deadline stuff, brutal... Way too much time to stew on trades and stuff with no games.

I dunno. The quickness with which he was calling time outs in the first half seemed to indicate that he cared. As did the fact that he rested Aldridge and Derozan Wednesdayinstead of last night.

He wanted that game...it simply was not to be.
