Even against Miami, I didn't think they were playing like it was a playoff elimination game. which I think they need to do in every game.

Agreed. His defense is more frustrating to me than his offense.

And Gentry is a pretty average coach.

He isn't even that. .462 winning percentage and he is worse with the Pels. He had a generational talent for his entire NO career and he has done nothing at all. Gentry is not a good coach by anyone's standards. But yes he does seem to have Stott's number at times.

But what do Gentry and Stotts have in common? They are both retreads that have had mediocre head coaching stints. Both are more suitable for lead assistant coach roles, as Stotts was in Dallas and Gentry was in Golden State.

Sadly, it seems like that is very much the case. They had a nice little run but Dame had to play at a super-human, historical level to make that happen. As soon as that predictably went away, it's back to a lot like how they have been all year.

With every big lead blown and indifferent effort I become more convinced they need to take a weed-whacker to this roster. And please spare me the "injury" excuse. Nurk is the only high impact player we are missing, and that only applies if he can stay healthy.

Sadly, it seems like that is very much the case. They had a nice little run but Dame had to play at a super-human, historical level to make that happen. As soon as that predictably went away, it's back to a lot like how they have been all year.

I just look at New Orleans and they have a much much much brighter future and currently a better fucking team. Ingram, Ball, Zion with some really solid veterans like Redick and Holiday. Our team fucking sucks by comparison. Neil needs to go.
