Golden State tonight without their best player lost to the lowly Pacers..we weren't the only ones. Wonder if their fans bailed on them after the loss?

They also didnt get boatraced by the Jazz just last game. And GS has had impressive win after impressive win. Yet the Blazers cant seem to beat anyone good, consistently.

No I wasn't. Did you really think we'd win this game when you heard Aldridge was out?
Yes you were. And a lie to yourself is worth a lie to us. And of course I thought we would win. We had the game. The Kersey mojo was a big reason. Every player and coach believes we win this game after the 3rd but apparently you don't? Nice try.

Just answer me this: Have we even beat Memphis this year WITH Aldridge? A simple yes or no will suffice.

If we win the next two, we're 38-19 with wins against good teams. Firmly in 4th place. 6-3 in February. Look towards then and hope Aldridge is ok.

EXACTLY!! No. If we struggled against Memphis WITH Aldridge, why did you expect to win without him?

Not lying. I was expecting to lose WITH Aldridge because we were adding a new player against a great team that is clicking. Once I heard Aldridge was out, I knew winning was a pipe dream. Even with us up double digits, I knew they would get back into it and beat us.

Did their fanbase freak out by the loss tonight? Did their version of JK25 just pass away and did they lose 3 teammates and add two new ones this week? These are not fair comparisons. Two top rated teams lost tonight. That's the point. Both missing their star. The Jazz and Grizz fucking beat us. I've been a fan long enough to weather these storms. The thread meltdowns are tougher than the losses.

Also to add to the fuel of Stotts being a shitty coach. How can a player go from starting (when an injury has taken a certain someone out for games) and doing a damn good job in hitting outside shots and playing defense to not even seeing the court. You all know who I am talking about.

Yes. And you tell me to have faith in the team....
I do have faith in the team. But they need to be healthy and need time to jell if they're gonna beat playoff teams. I think, when healthy, we can win the championship.

Unfortunately, this franchise hasn't weathered a storm since 2000 - this is not a one-off choke job. This is just like last season - get off to a great start in November/December, than crash back into the pack and go meekly into the night.

Sarcasm+Internet=Shitty without green font lol
I can't read those fucking green fonts...60 year old peepers of mine..old school sarcasm exists in the content. As if I'd call Thabeet better than Dalembert. I would say Thabeet is cheaper than Dalembert and neither would make a spec of dust of difference on the roster

Still no phone calls on press row...

That memphis D though.

I want to know what ending was worse... the GS one where we turned it over 3 straight times, or this one where we airballed it on absolutely horrid possessions 3 times in a row?

They definitely gave us the D.

My long-winded game summary:

Memphis executes MUCH better than we do on both ends of the floor.

Thank you,
Capt. Obvious

So...

Maybe they aren't that good. They have a prob, Dame hasn't been very good but Wes nor Nic can create a good shot for themselves or the team. Starting to rethink the importance on keeping these pair together in the starting lineup. Afflalo is going to help but he ain't going to fix the problem they have in the starting lineup.

Nic did fine tonight. Wes was shut down. I forgot he was even on the team tonight.

They have to move the ball to be effective. As soon as we play a physical team, we play into their hands by dribbling too much, and don't match the aggressiveness. Another way to look at it is that we fuck up by being hesitant instead of risking fucking up by attacking.
Make these guys watch Jerome Kersey film.

Wes Nor Nic can take their man off the dribble and create their own shot. So you're right, if they're not moving the ball, they're done.

Maxing Wes would be unwise. He plays with heart but he's not THAT good.

Unfortunately, the market is gonna pay near max. And as much as Wes on the dribble bugs the crap out of me sometimes, he's still a big part of this team and can carry us at times (when the offense is flowing).

Understand...

I wouldn't do it.

My hope is that Wes improves the handles. No reason to think he wont, he gets better at something every year. He's no dummy, and he has to know it is a weakness. I'll never sell that guy short.
